মালদা: এবারে পুলিশ কর্মীর বাড়িতে চুরি। নগদ টাকা, সোনা,ল্যাপটপ এবং বাইক চুরি করে নিয়ে পালাল দুষ্কৃতীরা। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে ইংলিশ বাজার থানার যদুপুরের মডেল কলোনি এলাকায়। জানা গেছে ওই পুলিশ কর্মীর নাম আজমল হক। বাড়ি মুর্শিদাবাদ। ইংলিশ বাজারের যদপুর মডেল কলোনি এলাকায় সপরিবারে প্রায় দেড় বছর ধরে ভাড়া থাকেন তিনি । মালদা জেলা পুলিশ সুপার অফিসে বর্তমানে কর্মরত আছেন তিনি। জানা যায় হোলি উপলক্ষে সপরিবারে বাড়ি গিয়েছিলেন ওই পুলিশ কর্মী। ফোন মারফৎ জানতে পারেন বাড়িতে চুরি হয়েছে। দুষ্কৃতীরা সদর দরজার তালা ভেঙে ভেতরে ঢুকে নগদ প্রায় ৬৫ হাজার টাকা, এক ভরি সোনা , একটি ল্যাপটপ এবং একটি মোটর বাইক নিয়ে চম্পট দেয় বলে অভিযোগ। শুক্রবার সকালে ঘটনা জানাজানি হতেই গোটা এলাকা জুড়ে চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। জানা গেছে এই ঘটনায় ইংলিশ বাজার থানায় একটি লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করা হয়েছে। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের অভিযোগ, একজন পুলিশ কর্মীর বাড়িতে চুরির ঘটনা ঘটলে সাধারণ মানুষদের নিরাপত্তা কোথায়। এই ঘটনায় দোষীদের চিহ্নিত করে উপযুক্ত শাস্তির দাবি তুলেছেন স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা। তার পাশাপাশি তারা নিরাপত্তাহীনতায় ভুগছেন বলে অভিযোগ তুলেছেন।
