মৃন্ময় রায় মেখলিগঞ্জঃ মেখলিগঞ্জ পুরসভার ৬ নং ওয়ার্ডের পূর্বপাড়ার দুই যুবক এবার নতুন নিজস্ব সংস্থানের উদ্যোগ নিলো। ভারত বাংলাদেশ সীমান্ত ঘেঁষা শহর মেখলিগঞ্জে তেমন কোনো কর্ম সংস্থানের সুযোগ নেই বললেই চলে। এই শহরের আর এক যুবক শিবা সাহা ইউটিউব ও অনলাইন প্লাটফরমে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে বেশ কয়েক মাস আগে ঝিনুক মাশরুম চাষ করে ব্যাপক সাফল্য পেয়েছেন। তাকে দেখে মেখলিগঞ্জের পূর্ব পাড়ার দুই যুবক অভিষেক ঠাকুর ও রাকেশ সিংহ সরকার ঝিনুক মাশরুম চাষ করে স্বনির্ভর হওয়ার আসা দেখছেন। রাকেশ সিং সরকার পেশায় একজন ক্ষুদ্র চা চাষী ও অভিষেক ঠাকুর শিলিগুড়ি গভনমেন্ট পলিটেকনিকের কারিগরি বিভাগ থেকে ডিপ্লোমা করে। এর পর বেকার বসে থাকতে থাকতে তার মাথায় এই ঝিনুক মাশরুম চাষের চিন্তা আসে। এই কথা তার বন্ধু রাকেশকে জানায়, তার পর থেকেই মাশরুম চাষ করা শুরু করেছেন তারা।

Seeing him, abhishek Thakur and Rakesh Singh Sarkar, two young men of Purba Para of Mekhliganj, are coming to become self-reliant by cultivating oyster mushrooms. Rakesh Singh Sarkar is a small tea farmer by profession and Abhishek Thakur holds a diploma from the technical department of Siliguri Government Polytechnic. After this, while sitting unemployed, the thought of cultivating this oyster mushroom came to his mind. He told his friend Rakesh that they have started cultivating mushrooms since then.
