মৃন্ময় রায়, মেখলিগঞ্জঃ কোচবিহারের চ্যাংরাবান্ধা সীমান্ত দিয়ে ভিন রাজ্য, ভারতের বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে প্রতিদিন প্রচুর ট্রাক পণ্য নিয়ে বাংলাদেশে যাচ্ছে। অভিযোগ এইসব অনেক ট্রাকেরই নথিপত্র ঠিকঠাক নেই। পাশাপাশি অতিরিক্ত পণ্য বোঝাই থাকছে ওইসব ট্রাকে। দীর্ঘদিন থেকেই এনিয়ে প্রশাসনের কাছেও অভিযোগ পৌছাচ্ছিল। অবশেষে শনিবার এই স্থলবন্দর এলাকায় অভিযানে নামল পরিবহন দপ্তর। এদিন অতিরিক্ত পণ্য বোঝাই ট্রাকে চলে অভিযান। অতিরিক্ত পণ্য বোঝাই থাকার অভিযোগে একটি ট্রেলার, একটি ডাম্পার ও একটি ট্রাককে আটক করে মোট দেড় লক্ষাধিক টাকা জরিমানা ধার্য করা হয়েছে। এই বিষয় নিয়ে মাথাভাঙা পরিবহন দপ্তরের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, তাদের এই ধরণের অভিযান চলতে থাকবে।
চ্যাংরাবান্ধা সীমান্তেরই স্থানীয় অনেক ট্রাকমালিকের অভিযোগ, কিছু মানুষ বাইরে থেকে বড় বড় ট্রাক নিয়ে এসে সেগুলিতে অতিরিক্ত পণ্য বোঝাই করে বাংলাদেশে রপ্তানি করছেন। সেইসব ট্রাকের নথিপত্র নিয়েও সন্দেহ রয়েছে। এদিকে স্থানীয় ট্রাকগুলি সঠিক নথিপত্র দিয়ে চললেও তাদের আর আগের মত লাভ হচ্ছেনা। বাইরের ওইসব ট্রাকে অতিরিক্ত পণ্য পরিবহনের কারণে স্থানীয় ট্রাক মালিকদের ব্যবসায় ভাটা পড়ে গিয়েছে। বিভিন্ন দাবিসহ ওইসব ট্রাকে অতিরিক্ত পণ্য পরিবহনের বিরুদ্ধে কড়া পদক্ষেপের দাবিতে গত বৃহষ্পতিবার মেখলিগঞ্জ ব্লকের বিডিওকে ডেপুটেশন দিয়েছিলেন চ্যাংরাবান্ধা ট্রাক মালিক সমিতও। এর পরেই এদিন এনিয়ে পরিবহন দপ্তরের তরফে অভিযান চালানো হয়। যদিও নিয়ম না মেনে চলা ট্রাক কর্মীদের অধিকাংশই এদিন পরিবহন দপ্তরের কর্তাদের অভিযানের খবর পেয়ে আগাম সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করেছিলেন বলেই সুত্রের খবর। মাথাভাঙার এ আর টি ও বিশ্বজিত দাস অবশ্য জানিয়েছেন,” ঊর্থ তন কতৃপক্ষের নির্দেশে বেআইনি পরিবহনের বিরুদ্ধে মাঝে মধ্যেই তাদের অভিযান চলে।

A total fine of more than Tk 1.5 lakh has been imposed on a trailer, a dumper and a truck for overloading the goods. Many local truck owners at the Changrabandha border alleged that some people are bringing big trucks from outside and carrying them with extra goods and exporting them to Bangladesh. There are also doubts about the documents of those trucks. Meanwhile, local trucks are running with proper documents, but they are no longer benefiting as before. Due to the transportation of excess goods in those trucks outside, the business of the local truck owners has collapsed. Changrabandha truck owner Samit had on Thursday given a deputation to the BDO of Mekhliganj block demanding strict action against the transportation of excess goods in those trucks with various demands. After this, the transport department conducted a drive in this regard. However, most of the truck workers, who did not follow the rules, took precautions in advance after getting information about the operation by the transport department officials, sources said.
