কানকিঃ চাকুলিয়া ব্লকের কানকিতে জাতীয় সড়ক 31 উপর একটি ট্রাক্টরের সঙ্গে একটি ট্রাকের সংঘর্ষ হয়, স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায় এই দুর্ঘটনায় বেশ কয়েকজন আহত হয়েছে, স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায় ট্রাকটি শিলিগুড়ি থেকে দালখলার দিকে যাচ্ছিল। সেই সময় কানকি বাজার পার করতেই জাতীয় সড়কের উপর উল্টো দিক থেকে রং সাইড দিয়ে একটি ট্রাকটার আসাতে মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষ হয়। ট্রাকের ড্রাইভার বেশ কিছুক্ষণ আহত অবস্থায় ট্রাকে আটকে থাকে, স্থানীয়দের ও পুলিশের সহযোগিতায় ট্রাকের ড্রাইভারকে উদ্ধার করা হয়। আহতদের প্রথমে কানকি প্রাথমিক স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে চিকিৎসা করানোর পর কিশনগঞ্জ মেডিক্যাল কলেজ পাঠানো হয়।
