ইসলামপুর,১৬ মার্চ: ইসলামপুর মাছ বাজারে নোংরা আবর্জনা থেকে নিয়মিত দুর্গন্ধ ছড়ায়। বিষয়টিকে কেন্দ্র করে বাসিন্দাদের মধ্যে চাপা উত্তেজনা ছিল। বুধবার রাতে কে বা কারা মাছ বাজারের টিউবওয়েলটি ভেঙে ফেলে এবং মাংস বাজারে খড় ও ছেড়া বস্তা রেখে দেয় ।এই বিষয়টিকে নিয়ে স্থানে বাসিন্দাদের সাথে হয় মাছ ব্যবসায়ীদের মধ্যে কথা কাটাকাটি হয় ।বিষয়টি পরবর্তী পর্যায়ে পুরসভা পর্যন্ত পৌঁছায়। ইসলামপুর পৌরসভার চেয়ারম্যান কানাইয়ালাল আগারওয়াল বলেন, মাছ বাজারে নিয়মিত পরিষ্কার করা হয়। এছাড়া কোন সমস্যা থাকলে স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের জানাতে পারতেন। মাছ বাজারের টিউবওয়েল ভাঙ্গা হয়েছে বলে অভিযোগ পেয়েছি। বিষয়টিপৌরসভা তদন্ত করে দেখছে। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের অভিযোগ, মাছ বাজারে মাছ ব্যবসায়ীরা সকাল থেকে বিকেল পর্যন্ত দোকানদারি করে কিন্তু ওই তল্লাটে ওই চত্বর পরিষ্কার না করেই চলে যায় ।ফলে প্রচন্ড দুর্গন্ধ বেরোয় মাছ বাজার থেকে। বিষয়টি নিয়ে স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের দীর্ঘদিন থেকে এই সমস্যায় ভুগতে হচ্ছিল । স্থানীয় বাসিন্দা মুন্না হক জানান, এ বসতিপূর্ণ এলাকায় মাছ বাজার অন্যত্র সরিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়া উচিত। তাহলেই স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা এই দুর্গন্ধ ও নাজেহাল থেকে মুক্তি পাবে। তবে কে বা কারা ওইটি টিউবওয়েলটি ভেঙে দিয়ে গেছে তা বলা মুশকিল। এদিকে ইসলামপুর ফিস মার্চেন্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সম্পাদক আব্দুর রহমান জামান, আশির দশক থেকে মাছ বাজার চলছে। ওই জায়গায় আমরা প্রায়ই দেখতে পাই যে মাছ বাজারের টি বলটি ভেঙে পড়ে আছে আমরা নিজের খরচে ওই টিউবওয়েলটি মেরামত করি নিজেদের প্রয়োজনে। প্রায়ই আমাদের সমস্যায় পড়তে হয়। মাছ বাজার নিয়মিত পরিষ্কার করে পৌরসভা।

Munna Haque, a local resident, said that the fish market in this inhabited area should be shifted elsewhere. Only then will the local residents get rid of this stench and misery. However, it is difficult to say who or who broke the tubewell. Abdur Rahman Zaman, secretary of Islampur Fish Merchant Association, said the fish market has been running since the 1980s. In that place, we often see that the fish market’s tea ball is broken, we repair the tubewell at our own expense for our own needs. We often have problems. The municipality regularly cleans the fish market.
