মালদা: অবশেষে স্বপ্ন পূরণ। ইংলিশবাজার ব্লকের মহদীপুর অঞ্চলের লোটন মসজিদ থেকে খিড়কি পর্যন্ত প্রায় চার কিলোমিটার বেহাল রাস্তার কাজের শিলান্যাস করা হল। শুক্রবার সকালে একটি অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে প্রায় ২ কোটি ৯৭ লক্ষ টাকা ব্যয়ে রাস্তার কাজের শিলান্যাস করা হল। উপস্থিত ছিলেন ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ, মালদা জেলা পরিষদের কর্মাধ্যক্ষ প্রতিভা সিংহ সহ অন্যান্য জনপ্রতিনিধিরা। জানা যায় মহদীপুর অঞ্চলের লোটন মসজিদ থেকে খিড়কি পর্যন্ত প্রায় চার কিলোমিটার রাস্তা দীর্ঘ কয়েক বছর ধরে বেহাল অবস্থায় ছিল। ফলে বর্ষা আসলেই যাতায়াতে সমস্যার মধ্যে পড়তে হত গ্রামবাসীদের। অবশেষে সেই রাস্তার কাজ শুরু হওয়ায় খুশি মহদীপুর অঞ্চলবাসী।
Malda: Finally a dream come true. The foundation stone was laid for about four kilometers of poor road work from Loton Mosque to Khidki in Mahdipur area of Englishbazar block. The foundation stone of the road work was laid at a cost of around 2 crore 97 lakh rupees in a ceremony on Friday morning. English Bazar Panchayat Samiti President Lipika Barman Ghosh, Malda District Council Executive Pratibha Singh and other public representatives were present. It is known that the road of about four kilometers from Loton Mosque to Khidki in Mahdipur region was in poor condition for many years. As a result, the villagers had to face problems during monsoons. Residents of Mahdipur region are happy that the road work has finally started.
