মৃত রোগীকে জীবিত বলে সারারাত চিকিৎসা

মালদা: মৃত রোগীকে জীবিত বলে সারারাত চিকিৎসা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার অভিযোগ। সকালে বিষয়টি জানাজানি হতেই ক্ষোভে ফেটে পড়লেন মৃত রোগীর পরিবার। লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করা হয় ইংলিশ বাজার থানায়। মালদা শহরের গৌড় রোড় এলাকায় একটি নামিদামি নার্সিংহোমের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ। জানা গেছে মৃত ওই ব্যক্তির নাম বনমালী সরকার। বাড়ি মালদার গাজোল থানার শিক্ষক পল্লী এলাকায়। পরিবার সূত্রে জানা যায় অসুস্থ থাকায় ওই ব্যক্তিকে শনিবার গৌড় রোড় এলাকায় একটি নার্সিংহোমে ভর্তি করা হয়। রাতে ফোন করে বলা হয় রক্ত লাগবে। রাতে না দিতে পারলেও সকালের মধ্যে রক্ত জোগাড় করে দিলেই হবে এই কথাও জানানো হয় নার্সিংহোম কর্তৃপক্ষের তরফ থেকে বলে অভিযোগ। কিন্তু রবিবার সকালে এসে পরিবারের লোকেরা জোর করে নার্সিংহোমের ভেতর ঢুকে দেখতে পান তাদের রোগী মারা গেছে। মৃত রোগীর জামাই সানি দত্তের অভিযোগ, মৃত মানুষকে কিভাবে আই সি ইউ তে রেখে চিকিৎসা করা যায়। তারা জোর করে ভিতরে ঢুকে দেখতে পাই আই সি ইউ তে রয়েছে তাদের রোগী কিন্তু মারা গেছে। হাত পা ঠান্ডা হয়ে গেছে। অথচ নার্সিংহোম কর্তৃপক্ষ তাদের কিছুই জানায়নি। মৃত রোগীকে জীবিত বলে চিকিৎসা চালিয়ে গিয়ে মোটা অংকের টাকা দাবি করত নার্সিংহোম বলে অভিযোগ করেন তিনি। এই মর্মে ইংলিশ বাজার থানায় একটি লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করা হয়। অবিলম্বে প্রশাসন এবং মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর কাছে ওই নার্সিংহোম সিল করে দেওয়ার অনুরোধ জানিয়েছেন মৃতের পরিবারবর্গ। তবে এই বিষয়ে নার্সিংহোম কর্তৃপক্ষ ক্যামেরার সামনে কিছু না বললেও মৌখিকভাবে জানান, অভিযোগ ভিত্তিহীন। রক্ত জোগাড় করতে না পাড়ায় ওই রোগীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
