মালদা: প্রশাসনের উপর ক্ষোভ উগড়ে দিয়ে অবশেষে বাধ্য হয়ে নিজেরাই নিকাশি নালা এবং পুকুর পরিষ্কারে নামলেন গ্রামবাসীরা। ঘটনা ইংলিশ বাজার ব্লকের বিনোদপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের সাতটারী মসজিদ পাড়া এলাকার। গ্রামবাসীরা এই নিয়ে স্থানীয় পঞ্চায়েতের বিরুদ্ধে ক্ষোভ উগড়ে দিয়ে বুধবার সকালে বেশ কিছুক্ষণ বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শনও করেন। গ্রামবাসীদের অভিযোগ এলাকায় নিকাশি নালা এবং পুকুরে পাহাড় পরিমাণ আবর্জনার স্তূপ তৈরী হয়েছে। যার ফলে বর্ষাকাল আসলেই জলমগ্ন থাকে এলাকা। বার বার জনপ্রতিনিধি থেকে শুরু করে পঞ্চায়েত দপ্তরে জানিয়েও কোন লাভ না হওয়ায় অবশেষে বাধ্য হয়ে নিজেরাই নিকাশি নালা পরিষ্কারে নামেন গ্রামবাসীরা। তাদের আরও অভিযোগ ভোট আসলেই জনপ্রতিনিধিদের দেখা মেলে কিন্তূ ভোট পেরিয়ে গেলে পাড়ার সমস্যা সমাধানে তাদের দেখা মেলেনা।
MALDA: After venting their anger on the administration, the villagers finally forced themselves to clean the drains and ponds themselves. The incident happened in Sattari Masjid Para area of Vinodpur village panchayat of English market block. The villagers raised their anger against the local panchayat and staged a protest for some time on Wednesday morning. Villagers complain that the drainage canals and ponds have heaps of garbage piled up in the area. As a result, the area is actually flooded during the rainy season. The villagers were forced to clean the drains by themselves as there was no avail, starting with the public representative and the Panchayat office. Their further complaint is that the people’s representatives actually meet the vote, but once the vote is passed, they do not meet to solve the neighborhood’s problems.
