চীনা ভাষায় স্নাতক ও স্নাতকোত্তর ডিগ্রিধারী যোগ্য শিক্ষকদের দ্বারা ম্যান্ডারিন ভাষা শেখানো হবে। সেন্ট জোয়ান স্কুল সম্পর্কে সেন্ট জোয়ানস স্কুল, সল্টলেক, একটি সহ-শিক্ষামূলক ইংরেজি মাধ্যম উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় যা সি আই সি এস সি, নয়াদিল্লির সাথে অধিভুক্ত। দেবযানী ঘোষ, অধ্যক্ষ যিনি মানসম্পন্ন ও সামগ্রিক শিক্ষা প্রদানের স্বপ্ন দেখেছিলেন। সেন্ট জোয়ান উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়টি ১৯৯৭ সালে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য একটি শক্তিশালী, গুণগত ভিত্তির চাহিদা পূরণের জন্য প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। স্কুলটি দেড় বছর থেকে ১২ তম গ্রেড পর্যন্ত শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক স্তরে বায়ো-বিজ্ঞান, কম্পিউটার – বিজ্ঞান, সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান (মানববিদ্যা) এবং বাণিজ্য অফার করে। স্কুলটি ২০২২ সালে কিন্ডারগার্টেন এবং মাধ্যমিক স্তরে ৩৫ বছর এবং ২৫ বছরের একাডেমিক শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব গর্বিতভাবে পূর্ণ করেছে এবং কলকাতার আই সি এস সি পরীক্ষায় একাডেমিক দক্ষতার জন্য শীর্ষ ৩টি স্কুলের মধ্যে স্থান পেয়েছে।
Own Report: St. John’s School, Salt Lake, Kolkata, celebrated a milestone by launching the Chinese Language (Mandarin) program on 8th May 2023. The school welcomed distinguished guests including Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kolkata Hon’ble Zha Liu, Mayor of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation Hon’ble Ms. Krishna Chakraborty, and former Director of Studies David Larbelestier. in the Department of English, University of Technology College, Sydney. The launch of the program marks a significant milestone for St. Joan’s School, as it continues to expand its educational efforts to promote cross-cultural learning and prepare students for a globalized world. The New Chinese Language (Mandarin) program aims to introduce students to the language and culture of China, with a curriculum designed to deepen their understanding of Chinese traditions and customs. The Guest of Honor on the occasion Hon’ble Zha Liuwu expressed his appreciation for St. Joan School’s initiative to introduce the Chinese language and culture to Indian students. He emphasized the importance of educational institutions in promoting intercultural understanding and building strong relationships. The event also featured a speech by Hon’ble Mrs. Krishna Chakraborty, Mayor of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, who congratulated St. John’s School for taking this important step in promoting cultural exchange and education. Mr. David Larbelestier, former Director of the Department of English, College of Technology, Sydney, shared his experience of intercultural education and interaction during his academic career.
