১৪ তারিখ কলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাবে এক সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে কলকাতা ট্যুরিজম ফেয়ারের পক্ষে পরিচালক সুব্রত ভৌমিক জানালেন এবারের মেলা ১৬ তম। আমরা এই মেলা ভারতবর্ষের ১২ টা শহরে করে থাকি। এবারের এই ট্যুরিজম মেলায় ১০০ জনের বেশি পার্টিসিপেন্ট থাকছে। এই ট্যুরিজম ফেয়ারের ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট কৌশিক ধর জানালেন আগামী ১৬ জুন শুক্রবার সকাল ১১ টায় এই মেলা উদ্বোধন করবেন সঙ্গীত শিল্পী ও রাজ্যের পর্যটন মন্ত্রী বাবুল সুপ্রিয়। থাকবেন পর্বত আরোহী পিয়ালী বসাক।
এই মেলার আর এক আয়োজক অমিতাভ সরকার বলেন আমরা প্রায়শই শুনে থাকি, অনেক মানুষ বেড়াতে গিয়ে প্রতারিত হয়েছেন বা হচ্ছেন। হোটেলে নানা ধরণের খারাপ ব্যাবহার পান, অনেকেই ভালো খাবার বা ভালো পরিষেবা পান না। এর জন্যে এই তিনদিন ধরে সরকারের প্রতিনিধিদের সাথে সারা ভারতের ট্রাভেল এজেন্ডদের আলোচনা হবে। কোনো পর্যটক যাতে বেড়াতে গিয়ে সমস্যায় না পড়েন তার জন্যে এই মেলার মাধ্যমে সঠিক ভাবে পরিষেবা দেবার চেষ্টা করবে এই সংস্থা। আমাদের সারা বাংলায় এজেন্ট এর সংখ্যা ২৮০ জন। আর অল ইন্ডিয়া ট্রাভেল অ্যাসোসিয়েশন এর মেম্বার সংখ্যা ৪৫০০ জন। আমরা আশা করবো এই কলকাতা ট্যুরিজম মেলা থেকে যারা বেড়াতে যেতে ভালোবাসেন তারা অনেক নতুন নতুন জায়গার হদিস পাবেন।
