মালদহ: গণনা কেন্দ্র থেকে ব্যালট বক্স চুরির চেষ্টার অভিযোগকে ঘিরে উত্তেজনা ছড়াল মালদহের জেলা স্কুলে। তৃণমূলের পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির প্রার্থীর স্বামীকে মার পুলিশের। এ দিন জেলা স্কুলের গণনা কেন্দ্রে শোভানগর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত আসনের গণনা চলছিল। অভিযোগ, পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির ৩ নম্বর আসনের প্রার্থী আফসানা পারভিনের স্বামী শেখ জামিল হাসান ব্যালট বক্স নিয়ে পালানোর চেষ্টা করেন। পুলিশ তাঁকে তাড়া করে আটক করে। মারধরও করা হয় তাঁকে, দাবি প্রার্থীর।

He was also beaten up, the candidate claimed.
