নিজস্ব সংবাদঃ আমরা চলতে ফিরতে একটা কথা প্রায়সই শুনে থাকি অমুক লোক মৃত্যুর সাথে পাঞ্জা লড়ছেন কিন্ত বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে মৃত্যুর সাথে নয় বরং পাঞ্জা প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেলো উল্টো ডাঙার বিধান শিশু উদ্যানের ভেতরে। আট থেকে আশি বয়সের লোকজন এই প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলেন । বর্তমানে মানুষ ফুটবল / ক্রিকেট / লং টেনিস / ব্যাডমিন্টের পাশাপাশি বাঙালির ঘরে অনেক বিস্মৃত হয়ে যাওয়া খেলাকে তুলে ধরছেন এই প্রজন্মের ছেলে মেয়েরা। অশোক আখরা এক ব্যায়াম মন্দিরের পক্ষ থেকে বাঙালির এই হারিয়ে যাওয়া খেলার আয়োজন করা হয়েছিলো । সাড়া পড়েছে যথেষ্ট । একটা সময়ে ছিলো অতীতে বাঙালি কুস্তি করতে আখরায় যেত । নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে বাঙালির কুস্তির ইতিহাস ঐতিহ্য সংস্কৃতি তুলে ধরেন প্রাক্তন খেলোয়াড়রা । তারা বলেন একটা সময়ে বিবেকানন্দ থেকে গোবোর গুহ হয়ে ভীভ ভবানী বাঙালির কুস্তির ইতিহাস ঐতিহ্য অনেক দিনের, তার মাটিকে আগে জানতে হবে। পাশাপাশি সংস্থার আয়োজক অশোক রাজ বলেন এই খেলায় খুব একটা খরচ নেই তাই অনেকেই এই খেলায় আসার জন্য আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করছেন। পাশাপাশি শিল্পনীড় পত্রিকার সাংবাদিকের মুখোমুখি হয়ে কলকাতা পুলিশের থেকে অংশগ্রহণ করা কয়েকজন প্রতিযোগী জানান বর্তমানে খেলাই পারে সমাজের বিভিন্ন স্তরের মানুষকে মূল স্রোতে ফিরিয়ে আনতে । আজ আমরা চলমান জীবনে মুঠোফোন আমাদের কাছ থেকে খেলার মাঠের সময় কেড়ে নিয়েছে আমরা চাই মানুষ আবার মাঠমুখো হোক সেটা যে কোনো খেলাই হোক। তা ছাড়া আমরা পুলিশের পক্ষ থেকে আগামী দিনে খেলাধুলার মাধ্যমে এই বার্তা দিতে চাই যে সবার আগে শরীর শরীর ফিট থাকলে তবেই আপনারা এগোতে পারবেন । সত্যি বলতে অশোক রাজের উদ্যগে এই অভিনব প্রতিযোগিতা এই বিশ্বাস জাগিয়ে দিলো মুঠো ফোন নয়। মুক্ত মাঠই হোক মানুষের আসল বন্ধু ।
