নিজস্ব সংবাদঃ কলকাতায় সাংবাদিকদের গর্বের প্রতিষ্ঠান কলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাব তার ঊনআশি তম জন্মদিন পালন করলো মহা সমারহে। অনুষ্ঠানে কে এসেছেন আর কে আসেননি এই তালিকা দিতে বসলে তা আর শেষ হবে না । নানান অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে কলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাব হয়ে উঠেছিলো আক্ষরিক অর্থেই এক আনন্দময় গৃহ। প্রেস ক্লাবের প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবস উপলক্ষে এদিন বাঙালির অহংকার এবং আধুনিক বাঙালির চিন্তা চেতনার যিনি উন্মেষ ঘটিয়েছিলেন সেই ঈশ্বর চন্দ্র বিদ্যাসাগরের মর্মর মূর্তি উদ্বোধন করা হয় । যা পরে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হবে প্রেস ক্লাব প্রাঙ্গনেই। এদিন কলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাবের পক্ষ থেকেও এক অভিনব উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়, সাংবাদিকতার বিভিন্ন মাধ্যমে কৃতিদের এদিন পুরস্কৃত করা হয়। সকাল বেলা প্রেস ক্লাবের বাইরে পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হয়। বিভিন্ন সময়ে কাজের স্বীকৃতি হিসেবে পুরস্কার তুলে দেওয়া হয় বিশিষ্ট অতিথিদের হাতে।প্রেস ক্লাবের প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবসে জুড়ে ছিলো বিদ্যাসাগরের ভাবনা চিন্তাকে পাথেও করে আমরা সবাই আগামী দিনে আরও অগ্ৰসর হবো তার ভাবনা চিন্তায় উজ্জীবিত করা হবে আগামী প্রজন্মের সবাইকেই । শপথের উচ্চারণ হোক থেমে যাওয়া নয় চড়ৈবেতী।
কলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাবের ৭৯ তম প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবস উপলক্ষে শনিবার মোহনবাগান মাঠে এক প্রীতি ফুটবল ম্যাচের আয়োজন করা হয়। গৌতম সরকারের নেতৃত্বে শ্যাম থাপা, মানস ভট্টাচাৰ্য, বিদেশ বসু, সত্যজিৎ চ্যাটার্জী, অমিত ভদ্র, উলগানাথন, কবীর বসু, সঞ্জয় মাঝি, অলোক দাস, দীপেন্দু বিশ্বাস,জগদীশ ঘোষ, প্রশান্ত চক্রবর্তী নিয়ে গড়া প্রাক্তন ভারতীয় একাদশ, প্রেস ক্লাব একাদশকে ৩-১ গোলে পরাজিত করে।
Own News: Calcutta Press Club, the proud institution of journalists in Kolkata, celebrated its eighty-ninth birthday with a grand celebration. The list of who came and who did not come to the event will not end. Kolkata Press Club became a happy house through various events. On the occasion of the press club’s founding day, a memorial statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, who was the founder of Bengali pride and modern Bengali thought, was inaugurated. After which the press club will be established on the premises. On this day, a novel initiative was taken by Calcutta Press Club, and achievements in various media of journalism were awarded on this day. The flag was hoisted outside the press club in the morning. Prizes were given to distinguished guests at various times in recognition of the work. A friendly football match was organised at Mohun Bagan ground on Saturday to mark the 79th foundation day of Kolkata Press Club. The former Indian XI, led by Gautam Sarkar, Shyam Thapa, Manas Bhattacharya, Videsh Basu, Satyajit Chatterjee, Amit Bhadra, Ulganathan, Kabir Basu, Sanjay Majhi, Alok Das, Dipendu Biswas, Jagdish Ghosh, Prashant Chakraborty, defeated Press Club XI 3-1.
