মালদা: বিগত পাঁচ বছরে বিজেপির দখলে থাকা ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির কাজিগ্রাম অঞ্চলের ৫৫ এবং ৫৬ নম্বর বুথে কোন উন্নয়ন হয়নি। এই দুই বুথের বাগবাড়ি, সরকার কলোনি সহ বিভিন্ন এলাকার মানুষ ঢালাই রাস্তার মুখ দেখেনি এখনো। তাই তারা এবার পরিবর্তন চাই। মালদা জেলা পরিষদের ৩২ নম্বর আসনের তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ এবং ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির ২১ নম্বর আসনের প্রার্থী শম্পা সেন সরকারকে কাছে পেয়ে বিজেপি নেতাদের বিরুদ্ধে একাধিক নালিশ জানালেন গ্রামবাসীরা। গ্রামবাসীরা অভিযোগ করেন গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের বিজেপি মেম্বারদের গত পঞ্চায়েত ভোটে দেখতে পাওয়া গিয়েছিল। তারপরে আর দেখতে পাওয়া যায়নি। এলাকায় কোন উন্নয়ন হয়নি। এই নিয়ে তারা একরাশ ক্ষোভ উপড়ে দেন। অন্যদিকে এই বিষয়ে মালদা জেলা পরিষদের ৩২ নম্বর আসনের তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ জান, এই এলাকায় বিজেপির মেম্বার থাকায় গত পাঁচ বছরে উন্নয়ন হয়নি। তাই মানুষের একটা ক্ষোভ আছে। তবে মানুষ তৃণমূলের পাশে আছে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের উন্নয়নে সামিল হতে বিপুল সমর্থন রয়েছে।

On the other hand, Lipika Barman Ghosh, Trinamool Congress candidate for seat number 32 of Malda Zilla Parishad, said that there has been no development in the last five years due to the presence of BJP members in this area. So people have a grudge. But people are with the Trinamool, there is huge support for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to join the development.
