Own report: Project Udaan continues to make remarkable progress in transforming lives for the better. On July 26, 2023, a significant event took place in Sonagachi, Kolkata, where a unique Rudra Puja was conducted by Revered Swami Shraddhananda Ji, followed by an inspiring Satsang led by Sri Vikas Pasari. Project Udaan, which began its journey in 2012 with the establishment of Udaan Tutorial School in Sonagachi, has been working with dedication to support young girls aged 6-18 years who have faced hardships in the sex trade. The initiative aims to educate these girls, raise health awareness, and help them reintegrate into mainstream society. Thanks to the guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and his Art of Living organization, a nurturing and safe haven called Udaan Kanya Gurukul was set up in Pailan in June 2022 to offer care and support to the children of sex workers from Sonagachi. The Rudra Puja, conducted with great reverence by Revered Swami Shraddhananda Ji, filled the atmosphere with spiritual significance and invoked blessings for the well-being and upliftment of the girls at Udaan Kanya Gurukul. Following the puja, a soul-enriching Satsang was led by Sri Vikas Pasari, providing inspiration and encouragement to the young hearts striving for a brighter future. During the event, a heartwarming food distribution drive took place, ensuring that the children and the community received nourishment and care.
