নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদনঃ বর্ষা এলেই বাড়ে মশাদের উৎপাত তার মধ্যে ডেঙ্গু হচ্ছে এক পরিচিত মশাবাহিত রোগ। বর্তমানে এই রোগে অনেকেই আক্রান্ত হচ্ছেন । পতঙ্গ বাহিত রোগ প্রতিরোধ এবং কঠিন ও তরল বর্জ্য ব্যবস্থাপনায় উত্তর চব্বিশ পরগণা জেলা পরিষদের উদ্যোগে ত্রিস্তরীয় নব নির্বাচিত জনপ্রতিনিধিদের এক প্রশিক্ষণ এবং ডেঙ্গুর ওপরে এই দুই নিয়ে এক সেমিনার হয়ে গেলো বারাসাতের রবীন্দ্র ভবনে। উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্বরদ কুমার দ্বিবেদী এবং অশোকনগর বিধানসভার বিধায়ক এবং উত্তর চব্বিশ পরগনা জেলার সভাপতি নারায়ণ গোস্বামী । এদিন বিভিন্ন সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচি ছাড়াও বিধায়ক নারায়ণ গোস্বামী বর্জ্য সংগ্রহের গাড়ি তুলে দেন কয়েকটা পঞ্চায়েতের হাতে । পাশাপাশি অশোক নগরের বিধায়ক সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে বলেন বর্তমানে ডেঙ্গর পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন ব্লকে ব্লকে নব নিযুক্ত জনপ্রতিনিধিদের কাজেও লাগানো হচ্ছে । শুধু রাস্তা জল বা আলো দেওয়াই জনপ্রতিনিধিদের কাজ নয়। তাদের কাজকে জনসাধারণের মাঝে আরও ছড়িয়ে দিতে হবে বলেও জানান অশোকনগরের বিধায়ক ।

On the initiative of North Twenty-four Parganas Zilla Parishad on prevention of insect-borne diseases and management of solid and liquid waste, a training for the three-level newly elected public representatives and a seminar on dengue were held at Rabindra Bhavan in Barasat. Swarad Kumar Dwivedi and Ashoknagar Legislative Assembly MLA and North Twenty-Four Parganas District President Narayan Goswami were present. Apart from various awareness programs, MLA Narayan Goswami also handed over waste collection vehicles to some panchayats. Besides, the MLA of Ashok Nagar told reporters that at present, apart from Dengar, newly appointed public representatives are also being used in different blocks. It is not only the job of public representatives to provide street water or light. MLA of Ashoknagar also said that their work should be spread more among the public.
