জয়দীপ মৈত্র,দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর: হাতেগোনা আর কয়েকদিন তারপরেই শুরু হবে বাঙালির শ্রেষ্ঠ উৎসব দুর্গোৎসব। এখন কুমোরটুলি থেকে শুরু করে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় পুজো নিয়ে প্রস্তুতির ব্যস্ততা চলছে তুঙ্গে। সামনেই পুজো স্বাভাবিকভাবেই ইতিমধ্যেই পুজোর কেনাকাটা শুরু করে দিয়েছেন সাধারণ ক্রেতারা। তবে দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলার সদর শহর বালুরঘাট ও ব্যবসার প্রতিষ্ঠিত জায়গা গঙ্গারামপুর সহ পুরোও জেলা জুড়ে অধিকাংশ ক্রেতাদের ভিড় দেখা যাচ্ছে বড় বড় শপিং মলে।তুলনামূলকভাবে সেই অর্থে ভিড় নেই ছোট মাঝারি কাপড়ের দোকানে। করোনা প্রকোপের কারণে গত দুবছর ব্যবসা হয়েছে নাম কে ওয়াস্তে। তবে ব্যবসায়ীদের আশা ছিল যে এবছর পুজোতে ভালো বিকিকিনি হবে। কিন্তু মলের দাপটে দিশেহারা ছোট মাঝারি দোকানীরা। ব্যবসায়ীদের দাবি, “সাধারণত পুজোর প্রায় দুমাস আগে থেকে বেচাকেনা শুরু হয়ে যায়। কিন্তু এবছর আর ১৫ দিনও বাকি নেই। অথচ ক্রেতার দেখা নেই। গতানুগতিকভাবে ব্যবসায়ীদের আশা ছিল মাসের শুরুতে মাইনে পেয়ে অনেকে কেনাকাটা শুরু করবেন। কিন্তু সেই লক্ষ্মণও নেই এই বছর”। তবে ক্রেতারা আর্থিক সঙ্কটের কারণে কেনাকাটা করছেন না, এমনটা না। অধিকাংশ ভিড় হচ্ছে বড় বড় শপিং মলে। একদিকে যখন ছোট মাঝারি দোকান কার্যত ফাঁকা হয়ে থাকছে। ঠিক বিপরীত দেখা নেই ক্রেতাদের। কার্যত সেই কারণে এখন ছোট মাঝারি কাপড় ব্যবসায়ীরা মাছি তাড়াচ্ছেন। ক্রেতাদের ভিড়ের দৃশ্য দেখা যাচ্ছে মলগুলিতে । সেখানে সকাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত নজরকাড়া ভিড় থাকছে। তার মধ্যে ছোট ও মাঝারি ব্যবসায়ীদের সারি, মলগুলি নানান রকম “অফার দিচ্ছে। যার জন্য ক্রেতারা সেখানে চলে যাচ্ছেন। অথচ ক্রেতাদের অনেকে এটা বুঝতে পারছেন না যে সামগ্রীর ক্ষেত্রে অনেক ফারাক হয়েছে। দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলার গঙ্গারামপুর এর এক ছোট কাপড় ব্যবসায়ী বলেন, “সারা বছর টুকটাক বিক্রি হলেও বেশি বিক্রি হয় পুজোর সময়েই, কিন্তু এই বছর পুজোর আর মাত্র কয়েকদিন বাকি কিন্তু দেখা নেই ক্রেতাদের। কেনাকাটাতে বিশেষ ছাড় দেওয়া সব ক্রেতারা ভিড় জমাচ্ছে বড় বড় শপিং মলে। করোনার জন্য গত বছর ব্যবসা মন্দা হয়েছে এমনিইতেই তবে এবারও জেলা জুড়ে বিভিন্ন নামিদামী মলের কারণে দোকানে দেখা নেই ও ভিড় নেই ক্রেতাদের”। যে কারণে কপালে চিন্তার ভাঁজ পড়েছে ছোট ও মাঝারি কাপড় ব্যবসায়ীদের। তবে জেলা জুড়ে বিভিন্ন শপিং মলের ভিড়ে ছোট ও মাঝারি ব্যবসায়ীরা বিপাকে পড়েছেন যে কারণে দোকানে দেখা নেই ক্রেতাদের তাই দোকানে বসে কার্যত মাছি তাড়াচ্ছেন তারা তা বলাই বাহুল্য।

Traditionally, businessmen hoped many people would start buying at the beginning of the month. But that Lakshman is not there this year.” But buyers are not buying due to financial crisis, not that. Most of the crowds are in big shopping malls. On the one hand, small and medium shops are practically empty. Buyers do not see exactly the opposite. That’s practically why small and medium clothes are chasing flies now. Crowds of shoppers are seen in the malls. There is an eye-catching crowd from morning to evening. Among them are rows of small and medium traders, and malls offering various “offers. For which buyers go there. But many buyers don’t realize that there is a lot of difference in terms of goods. A small clothier from Gangarampur in South Dinajpur district said, “All year round. Although a few are sold, most of them are sold during Puja, but this year there are only a few days left for Puja, but there are no buyers. All the customers who have been given special discounts on shopping are flocking to the big shopping malls. Due to Corona last year, the business was slow but this time also because of the various famous malls across the district, the shops are not crowded and there are no customers. That is why the small and medium cloth traders are worried. It is needless to say due to the fact that there are no customers in the shop, they are practically chasing flies in the shop.
