পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরঃ এগরা ১নং ব্লকের ছত্রি গ্রামে রাস্তার বেহাল অবস্থা। ছত্রি বাঁধ থেকে হরিজন প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় পর্যন্ত প্রায় চার কিলোমিটার রাস্তা খানা খন্দে পরিপূর্ণ। রাস্তা রুপায়নের দাবিতে নাগরিক কনভেনশনের ডাক গ্রামবাসীদের। মূল দাবি ছত্রি বাঁধ পিচকরন, মদ- মাদকদ্রব্য বন্ধ, ছত্রি অঞ্চলে প্রস্তাবিত বাজি কারখানা বন্ধ করার দাবিতে এই নাগরিক কনভেনশন।এই কনভেনশনের উদ্যোগতাদের অভিযোগ বারেবারে বিভিন্ন সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে প্রশাসনের কাছে জানানো সত্বেও এই রাস্তা রূপায়ণের ক্ষেত্রে প্রশাসন কোন ভূমিকা গ্রহণ করেনি। এগরা-১নং ব্লক ও ২নং ব্লকের মূল সংযোগকারী রাস্তা যেখানে এই এলাকার প্রতিদিন প্রায় কয়েক হাজার মানুষ যাতায়াত করেন। এখানে স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্র, ব্যাংক, প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়,হাই স্কুল, পোস্ট অফিস থাকা সত্ত্বেও প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে রাস্তা রুপাযয়ণের কোন প্দক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা হয়নি। এই বেহাল রাস্তায় প্রতিদিন টোটো অটো মোটরবাইক সাইকেল এক্সিডেন্ট করছে। অসুস্থ কোন রোগীকে কয়েক কিলোমিটার রাস্তা ঘুরে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যেতে হয়। তাই আগামী ১২ অক্টোবর বৃহস্পতিবার বিকাল চার’টার সময় ছত্রি হাট ১নং প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে আন্দোলন শক্তিশালী করতে নাগরিক কনভেনশন। নাগরিক কনভেনশনের আহ্বায়ক বৃন্দ এই এলাকার সমস্ত গ্রামবাসীদের উপস্থিত থেকে দাবি আদায়ের লক্ষ্যে সাফল্য মন্ডিত করার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন।
