জয়দীপ মৈত্র,দক্ষিণদিনাজপুর : নারী প্রকৃতি, নারী সৃষ্টি, নারী দশভুজা, নারী শক্তির কাছে অসুর পরাজয় শিকার করেছিলো। নারী এক হাতে সংসার সামলাচ্ছে, পরিবার পরিজনের আবদার মেটাচ্ছে, সন্তান মানুষ করছে, আবার অন্যহাতে রোজগার করে সংসার রক্ষা করছে, আবার কখনো প্রতিবাদী হয়ে উঠছে। তেমনই দক্ষিণদিনাজপুরের এক লড়াকু মহিলা সাইকেল সারাই করে সংসারের হাল ধরেছেন এ যেন এক হার না মানা গল্প।
দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলার বংশীহারী ব্লকের কুসুম্বা এলাকার বাসিন্দা অঞ্জলি বর্মন দীর্ঘ চার বছর ধরে সংসারের হাল ধরতে সাইকেলের দোকান চালাচ্ছেন গ্রামের রাস্তার পাশে। সকাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত হাতুড়ি রেঞ্জ নিয়ে জীবন সংগ্রাম চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন অঞ্জলি বর্মন।
প্রত্যন্ত এলাকায় যেখানে অন্যান্য মহিলারা গৃহস্থলীর কাজ নিয়েই ব্যস্ত থাকেন সেই জায়গায় দাঁড়িয়ে অঞ্জলি বর্মন যেন এলাকায় এক আলোচিত নাম।
জানা গেছে একটা সময় স্বামীই সংসার চালাতেন। যদিও স্বামী শারীরিকভাবে সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ না হওয়ার কারণে বর্তমানে জীবন-জীবিকা হিসাবে সাইকেল মিস্ত্রির কাজ বেছে নিয়েছেন এই মহিলা। গ্রামের রাস্তার পাশে ছোট্ট দোকানে সাইকেল সারানোর পাশাপাশি মোটরসাইকেলেরও ছোটখাট কাজ করেন এই মহিলা। প্রথমদিকে একজন মহিলাকে সাইকেল চালানোর কাজ করতে দেখে অবাক হতেন অনেকেই। পাশাপাশি নানান কটুক্তিও শুনতে হয়েছে একটা সময়। যদিও বর্তমানে এলাকার বহু মানুষজন তার দোকানে সাইকেল সহ মোটরসাইকেল সারাই করেন বলে জানা গেছে। জীবন যুদ্ধে হার না মানা অঞ্জলি বর্মন তার কাজ নিয়ে সংবাদ মাধ্যমের সামনে জানান “ছেলেরা যদি সব কাজ করতে পারে আমরা মেয়েরা কেন পারব না। যা উপার্জন হয় তাতে সংসার মোটামুটি চলে যায়।” সর্বোপরি বলাই বাহুল্য অঞ্জলি বর্মন এর মতো মহিলারাই সমাজের অন্যান্য মহিলাদের কাছে এক বড় লড়াকু প্রতিবিম্ব।

In addition to repairing bicycles in a small shop on the side of the village road, this woman also does minor work on motorcycles. At first, many people were surprised to see a woman working on a bicycle. Along with this, I had to listen to various insults for a while. However, it is known that many people in the area repair bicycles and motorcycles in his shop. Anjali Burman, who did not give up in the battle of life, told the media about her work, “If boys can do everything, why can’t we girls. What is earned is enough for the family.” After all, it goes without saying that women like Anjali Burman are a great warrior reflecting for other women in the society.
