১ থেকে ৩ রা ডিসেম্বর মিলন মেলা প্রাঙ্গণে আয়োজিত তিন দিনের এই মেগা প্রদর্শনীতে যোগ দেবেন সারা দেশের ৫ হাজারের বেশি ফিটনেস বিশেষজ্ঞ এবং একই ছাদের তলায় থাকছে শরীরচর্চা, খেলা ধুলা, যোগ ব্যায়াম, ওয়েলনেস সামগ্রী, যার মধ্যে রয়েছে অত্যাধুনিক সফটওয়্যার এবং ফিটনেস টুলের সমাহার।
৭ নভেম্বর ২০২৩, কলকাতা: ফিটএক্সপো ইন্ডিয়া ২০২৩, স্পোর্টএক্সপো কে সঙ্গে নিয়ে আগামী ১ থেকে ৩ ডিসেম্বর বিশ্ব বাংলা মেলা প্রাঙ্গণে (মিলন মেলা) দেশের বৃহত্তম ফিটনেস এবং ওয়েলনেস ব্যবসার প্রদর্শনী আয়োজনের কথা ঘোষণা করেছে।
তিন লক্ষ বর্গফুট এলাকা জুড়ে ছড়িয়ে থাকা ৩ দিনের এই প্রদর্শনীতে দেড় লক্ষ মানুষের পা পড়বে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। এই ফিটএক্সপো ইন্ডিয়া ২০২৩ একই সঙ্গে বিজনেস টু কনজিউমার (বি২সি) এবং বিজনেস টু বিজনেস (বি২বি) কর্মসূচি, দ্বিবার্ষিক এই সম্মেলনের চতুর্থ পর্ব প্রস্তাবিত এই কর্মসূচি।
“দ্য ফিটএক্সপো ইন্ডিয়ার অন্যতম প্রতিষ্ঠাতা অধিকর্তা তথা ক্যালকাটা স্পোর্টস ডিলার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সহসভাপতি গগন সচদেব বলেন, “এই কর্মসূচি শুধুমাত্র খেলাধুলো বা শরীরচর্চা সংক্রান্ত প্রদর্শনী নয়, এখানে থাকছে নেটওয়ার্কিং, নতুন পণ্যের উদ্বোধন থেকে শুরু করে লাইভ শো, ডেমিনস্ট্রেশন এবং প্রতিযোগিতা সব মিলিয়ে যা রূপ নেবে এক সর্বাঙ্গীন উৎসবের, যা আগত সমস্ত অতিথিদের অভিজ্ঞতাকে এক অন্য স্তরে নিয়ে যাবে।”
“তিনি আরও বলেন, ” এই অনুষ্ঠানে যোগদানকারীরা বিপুল সংখ্যক দর্শকের সামনে নিজেদের পণ্য ও পরিষেবা সংক্রান্ত তথ্য তুলে ধরতে পারবেন। যা তাদের ব্র্যান্ডের পরিচিতি এবং গ্রাহকদের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক মজবুত করতে সহায়তা করবে। শরীরচর্চায় উৎসাহীরা এখানে বডি বিল্ডিং, পাওয়ার লিফটিং,জুম্বা,পাওয়ার যোগা সংক্রান্ত বিভিন্ন বিষয় খুঁজে পাবেন। এখানে থাকবে আলোচনা সভা প্যানেল ডিসকার্শান এবং একাধিক কর্মশালা যেখানে খেলাধুলো ও শরীরচর্চা সংক্রান্ত বিষয় কোর্স মেডিসিন এবং পুষ্টির সংক্রান্ত বিশেষজ্ঞরা নিজেদের মূল্যবান মতামত তুলে ধরবেন।”
প্রস্তাবিত ফিটএক্সপো ২০২৩ এ ৫ হাজারের বেশি বিশেষজ্ঞ এবং ক্রিয়া ব্যক্তিত্ব যোগ দেবেন বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। বাড়তি আকর্ষণ হিসেবে এখানে থাকছে সুপার বাইক জোন, শরীরচর্চার প্রতিযোগিতা, বন্ধ খাঁচায় মিক্সড মার্শাল আর্ট লড়াই এমনকি খাদ্য উৎসব।
সিএসডিএর সভাপতি তথা স্পোর্টেক্সপোর মুখ্য আহ্বায়ক রাজেশ ভাটিয়া বলেন, ” চলতি বছরে খেলাধুলার জগতের শিল্পের কথা মাথায় রেখে সমস্ত রকমের ক্রীড়া সামগ্রী পোশাক এবং পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন এবং প্রযুক্তির প্রসারের জন্য স্পোর্টক্সপোতে একটি বিশেষ মঞ্চ রাখা হচ্ছে। পূর্বাঞ্চলের ক্রীড়া জগতের বাজারের সঙ্গে যুক্ত সমস্ত সংস্থার কাছে এই রকম বিপুল মাপের একটি প্রদর্শনী যার আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে কলকাতায়, একটি বিরাট সুযোগ। আশা করি ব্যবসায়ী এবং উৎসাহীরা এই সুযোগকে পুরোপুরি কাজে লাগাবেন।”
স্পোর্টেক্সপোর যুগ্ম আহ্বায়ক সঞ্জয় শ্রীবাস্তব বলেন, “খেলাধুলার সামগ্রিক মানোন্নয়নের স্বার্থে আমরা রাজ্যের ক্রীড়া সংস্থা এবং জাতীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক খেলাধুলার ব্র্যান্ডগুলিকে সমন্বয়ে বৃদ্ধির উদ্দেশ্যে একই মঞ্চে নিয়ে আসছি।”
তিনি আরো বলেন, ” আমরা বিশ্বাস করি সমস্ত ক্রীড়া সংস্থা এবং অংশগ্রহণকারী নির্মাতাদের জন্য এটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ টার্নিং পয়েন্ট হবে। ক্রিকেট,বাস্কেটবল, টেবিল টেনিস, ব্যাডমিন্টন, হকি, তীরন্দাজি র জন্য এখানে আলাদা আলাদা জোন তৈরি করা হয়েছে যা প্রচারের ক্ষেত্রে বিরাট ভূমিকা নেবে।”
এই বিরাট প্রদর্শনীর অন্যান্য দুই কুলে তুলে ধরে আইএফের চেয়ারম্যান তথা স্পোর্টেক্সপোর চিফ প্যাট্রন সুব্রত দত্ত বলেন, ” কাজের সুযোগ সৃষ্টির ক্ষেত্রে ক্রীড়া জগতের সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে, এই ধরনের কর্মসূচি যুব প্রজন্মকে খেলাধুলায় উৎসাহিত করবে এবং তাদের সঠিক পথের দিশা দেখাবে। ”
কনফেডারেশন অফ ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল ট্রেড অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের (সি ডব্লিউ বি টি এ) সভাপতি সুশীল পোদ্দার জানিয়েছেন, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ শিল্প উন্নয়ন নিগম এবং সি ডব্লিউ বি টি এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে এই কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে এবং উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের একাধিক সংস্থানের মাধ্যমে ফিট ইন্ডিয়া মুভমেন্ট এবং খেলো ইন্ডিয়া কর্মসূচির সহযোগিতা মিলেছে।
এক্সপোর চেয়ারম্যান নরেন্দ্রনাথ কাপাডিয়া বলেন, ” সুস্বাস্থ্য এবং ফিট থাকা নিয়ে সচেতনতা বাড়ানো, নতুন আবিষ্কার এবং বিনিয়োগ আকর্ষণের পাশাপাশি খেলাধুলা এবং শরীরচর্চাকে অর্থকরী করে তোলার মত নানাবিধ লক্ষ্যকে সামনে রেখে এই কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে।”
বি২বি কর্মসূচির জন্য এখানে একটি কর্পোরেট বিজনেস লাউঞ্জ তৈরি করা হচ্ছে। এছাড়াও আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে ফিটপিচ (থিম নির্ভর তহবিল সংগ্রহ এবং বাণিজ্যিক আদান প্রদান) কর্মসূচি, স্টার্টআপ সংস্থা এবং আবিষ্কর্তাদের জন্য বিশেষ মঞ্চ, পারস্পরিক সংযোগ এবং বিনিয়োগের উৎসাহ দেওয়ার নানা প্রকল্প যার মাধ্যমে ফিটএক্সপো ইন্ডিয়া ২০২৩ অর্থনীতির ওপরে দীর্ঘমেয়াদি ছাপ রাখার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিচ্ছে।

7 November 2023, Kolkata: The FITEXPO INDIA 2023, along with SPORTEXPO, today announced hosting of India’s largest Sports, Fitness and Wellness Trade Expo cum Festival in Kolkata from 1-3 December at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan (Milan Mela).
The 3-day mega Expo, spread over 3 lac sq. feet of indoor and outdoor area, is expected to draw over 1.25 lac footfalls showcasing a diverse range of sports and fitness products from top brands. The FITEXPO INDIA 2023 would be a business-to-consumer (B2C) as well as a business to business (B2B) affair. This is the fourth edition of the Expo which is held biennially.
“This will not only be a 3-Day Exposition of Sports, Fitness and Wellness Sports Products and Services with all the networking, product launches and displays but also a festival featuring an entire gamut of activities by the fraternity. With Live Shows, Demonstrations and Competitions on Fitness, Sports and wellness, happening on an unprecedented scale you will find yourself immersed in a next-level of excitement,” said Mr Gagan Sachdev, founder-director of THE FITEXPO INDIA and Vice-President, Calcutta Sports Dealers Association (CSDA).
“The event offers a unique opportunity to showcase products and services to a vast audience, facilitating brand visibility and relationship-building. Fitness enthusiasts can explore Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Zumba, Power Yoga, and Martial Arts, and there will be seminars, panel discussions and workshops by experts on various Sports and Fitness topics such as fitness training, sports medicine and nutrition, offering valuable insights,” Mr Sachdev said.
The FITEXPO 2023 is expected to have 5000+ fitness experts and sports personalities. To add to all the excitement, there would be Super Bike Zone; Bodybuilding championship; Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights in cage, as well as a Food Festival.
Mr Rajesh Bhatia, President CSDA and Chief Convenor of SPORTEXPO, said, “This year there will be a special platform SPORTEXPO curated solely for the sports industry focusing on promotion of sports goods, sportswear, sports Infrastructure development and technology. There is a great opportunity for sports market in the Eastern region and it is very important that an exhibition of this scale is organized in Kolkata so that sports dealers and enthusiasts get the opportunity to explore the same.”
“We are bringing together State Sports Associations and National and International Brands on to the platform to create collaborations and opportunities for further development of Sports,” said Mr Sanjay Srivastav, Jt Convenor SPORTEXPO.
“We believe it can be the turning point for the sports bodies as well as the participating Brands. The zones created for Cricket, basketball, TT, Futsal, Badminton, Hockey Archery etc. would be a great promotional opportunity” he further added.
Elaborating on the mega Expo, Mr Subrata Dutta, Chairman of IFA, Chief Patron of SPORTEXPO, said, “Sports has immense potential to generate employment and curb deviant activities and such events play a key role in motivating our youth to stay on the right path”.
Mr Sushil Poddar, President, Confederation of West Bengal Trade Association (CWBTA), informed that the event was being held under the aegis of CWBTA and West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) and notably, the event enjoys patronage from the Fit India Movement and Khelo India, with additional support from institutions and government bodies.
According to Mr Narendra Kapadia, Chairman Expo “This event would serve multi-fold objectives like raising awareness about Health & Fitness, inducing innovation & investments in the sector as well as creating opportunities for monetization of sports & fitness activities”.
