গোপাল বিশ্বাস, নদীয়া- কেউ বা মোবাইল ফোনে পড়ছেন কেউ বা বইয়ের দিকে নজর, এমনই ভাবে কয়েক হাজার মানুষের উপস্থিতিতে প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় এবছরও ইস্কনের প্রধান কেন্দ্র শ্রীধাম মায়াপুরে মহাসমারোহে যথাযথ মর্যাদার সঙ্গে পালন করা হলো ২৭ তম গীতা জয়ন্তী মহোৎসব। ১৭ ই ডিসেম্বর ২০২৩ রবিবার থেকে ২৩ শে ডিসেম্বর ২০২৩ শনিবার ৭ দিন ব্যাপী এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত দেশ বিদেশের কয়েক হাজার ভক্ত। শ্রীধাম মায়াপুর এখন বিশ্ববাসীর কাছে পারমার্থিক জ্ঞান আহোরনের অন্যতম পীঠস্থান। ভক্তিবেদান্ত গীতা অ্যাকাডেমী ভারতবর্ষে বিশেষত বাংলা, ইংরেজি, ও হিন্দি ভাষায় গীতা স্টাডি কোর্সের মাধ্যমে শ্রীল প্রভুপাদের গীতা ও ভাগবত পড়ার সুবর্ণ সুযোগ করে দিয়েছে। শনিবার সকাল থেকেই কয়েক হাজার ভক্ত সমাগমে বিভিন্ন ধর্মীয় আচার অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে শুরু হয় এই মাঙ্গলিক অনুষ্ঠানের।ইস্কনের জনসংযোগ আধিকারিক রসিক গৌরাঙ্গ দাস জানান গীতার জ্ঞানালোকে বিশ্ববাসীর হৃদয়কে উদ্ভাসিত ও গীতা অধ্যয়নরত ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের মনোবলকে বৃদ্ধি করতেই এই মহান উৎসবের আয়োজন। পরমেশ্বর ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণ আজ থেকে ৫১৫৬ বছর পূর্বে হরিয়ানার কুরুক্ষেত্রের সমরাঙ্গনে অমিত শক্তিশালী ধনুর্ধর অর্জুনকে গীতার জ্ঞান দান করেছিলেন এই শুভ তিথিতে। পরমেশ্বর ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণ হতাশাগ্রস্ত অর্জুনের মধ্যে জ্ঞানগর্ভ কথোপকথনই গীতা ।সেই ঐতিহ্য স্মরণ করে প্রতিবৎসর এই উৎসব পালন করা হয়। গীতাকে বলা হয় মানব ধর্মতত্ত্বের একটি সংক্ষিপ্ত পাঠ। আজ থেকে ৫১৫৬ বছর পূর্বে ভগবদ্গীতার দিব্যজ্ঞান শ্রীকৃষ্ণ অর্জুনকে প্রদান করলেও গীতার চতুর্থ অধ্যায়ে বলা হয়েছে যে, এর পূর্বেও তিনি এই জ্ঞান অন্যকে প্রদান করেছিলেন। ভগবদ্গীতা মানবজাতীর জন্য কৃষ্ণের অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ উপহার। প্রকৃতপক্ষে তাঁর উদ্দেশ্য ছিল মানবজাতীকে জড়-জাগতিক অজ্ঞতা থেকে উদ্ধার করা। কুরুক্ষেত্রের যুদ্ধে অর্জুন যখন কৌরবপক্ষে তার আত্মীয়দের বিরুদ্ধে ধর্মযুদ্ধে অসমর্থ, তখন কৃষ্ণ জীবনের সত্য এবং কর্ম, জ্ঞান, ধ্যান এবং ভক্তির দর্শন তাঁর কাছে ব্যাখ্যা করেছিলেন। যার ফলে বিশ্বের অন্যতম বড় ধর্মগ্রন্থ ভগবদ্গীতা প্রকাশিত হয়। জাতি ধর্ম, বর্ণ ও রাজনৈতিকতার উর্দ্ধে মানবজাতির কল্যাণে গীতা পাঠ সকলের অবশ্য পাঠ্য। আত্ম- মুক্তি ও জগৎ কল্যাণ সাধনের জন্য গীতার অমৃতময় বাণী বিশ্বের দরবারে পৌঁছে দেওয়ার জন্য আমাদের এই সন্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টা। পাঠ্য পুস্তক হিসেবে শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে গীতা পাঠের জন্য সুশীল সমাজের এবং সরকারের কাছে আমাদের একান্ত অনুরোধ, আপনারাও এই শুভ উদ্যোগে সামিল হোন। সব মিলিয়ে ২৪ শে ডিসেম্বর ব্রীগেডের মাঠে লক্ষ্য কন্ঠে গীতা পাঠ অনুষ্ঠানের পূর্বে ইস্কনের আয়োজনে গীতা জয়ন্তী মহোৎসব অনুষ্ঠান যথেষ্ট তাৎপর্য বহন করলো বলেও মত ওয়াকিবহাল মহলের।

On this auspicious day, Lord Krishna gave the knowledge of Gita to the mighty archer Arjuna in the vicinity of Kurukshetra in Haryana 5156 years ago. The Gita is the enlightening dialogue between Lord Krishna and the depressed Arjuna. This festival is celebrated every year to remember that tradition. The Gita is said to be a short text of human theology. 5156 years ago, Lord Krishna imparted the divine wisdom of Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna, but the fourth chapter of the Gita says that he had imparted this knowledge to others even before that. Bhagavad Gita is one of Krishna’s greatest gifts to mankind. In fact, his intention was to rescue mankind from material-worldly ignorance. When Arjuna was unable to wage a crusade against his kinsmen in the Kurukshetra battle, Krishna explained to him the truth of life and the philosophy of action, knowledge, meditation and devotion. As a result, Bhagavad Gita, one of the world’s greatest scriptures, was published. Reading Gita for the welfare of mankind over caste, religion, caste and politics is a must read for all. This is our collective effort to deliver the immortal words of Gita to the world for self-liberation and world welfare.
