নিজস্ব সংবাদদাতা, নিউব্যারাকপুর, কলকাতাঃ নিউব্যারাকপুর আচার্য প্রফুল্লচন্দ্র কলেজে অনুষ্ঠিত পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ইতিহাস সংসদের ৩৯ তম বার্ষিক অধিবেশন সমাপ্ত হয়েছে ১৪জানুয়ারি। গত ১২জানুয়ারি আন্তর্জাতিক এই অধিবেশনের সূচনা হয় পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজকুমার কোঠারী, আচার্য প্রফুল্লচন্দ্র কলেজের ভারপ্রাপ্ত অধ্যক্ষ সৈয়দ রফি আহমেদ, কলেজের সভাপতি ড. নিখিল হালদার, ইতিহাস সংসদের সভাপতি অধ্যাপক অরুণ বন্দোপাধ্যায়, সহ সভাপতি অধ্যাপক সুস্নাত দাশ, সম্পাদক অধ্যাপক আশীষ কুমার দাস, যুগ্ম সম্পাদক অধ্যাপক মহীতোষ গায়েন ও অধ্যাপক বিমান সমাদ্দারের উপস্থিতিতে। অধিবেশনের প্রথম দিন অর্থাৎ ১২জানুয়ারি
প্রধান অতিথি ও সভাপতির ভাষণের পর বিগত অধিবেশনে বিভিন্ন বিভাগে পঠিত নির্বাচিত ১০৪টি প্রবন্ধ সমূহের সংকলন ‘ইতিহাস অনুসন্ধান -৩৭’-এ প্রকাশিত হয়। ৩৮তম অধিবেশনে পঠিত এবং ‘ইতিহাস অনুসন্ধান -৩৭’-এ প্রকাশিত প্রবন্ধগুলির মধ্য থেকে এবার ইন্দ্রানী রায় স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন মাল্যবান চট্টপাধ্যায়, কৃষ্ণ কুমার সরকার, শঙ্কর দেব মাইতি। গৌতম চট্টোপাধ্যায় স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন মো: মোরশেদুল আলম। রাধাকুমুদ মুখোপাধ্যায় স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন অনিরুদ্ধ ঘটক, ধনঞ্জয় দাশ স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন নিমাই মুর্মু,। মঞ্জু চট্টপাধ্যায় স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন সঙ্গীতা কোলে। সব্যসাচী ভট্টাচার্য স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন মিলি সাহা পোদ্দার। অনিরুদ্ধ রায় স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন সুতপা ভট্টাচার্য। নলিনী প্রভা ঘোষ স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন বুবাই জানা। বিষ্ণুপদ দাস স্মৃতি পুরস্কার অন্তরা বেরা ও ঋত্বিক বিশ্বাস। সুবাসসিঞ্চন রায় স্মৃতি পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন শ্রাবন্তী কাঞ্জিলাল এবং সায়ন্তনী ভট্টাচার্য পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন অর্ণব চ্যাটার্জী।
অধিবেশনে মূল নিবন্ধকারের ভাষণ দেন দিল্লি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক অমর ফারুকি, তার ভাষণে উঠে আসে ভুয়ো ইতিহাস ও সোস্যাল মিডিয়ার হাত ধরে সেই ইতিহাসকে জনমনে প্রভাব বৃদ্ধির ভয়ঙ্কর প্রবণতার কথা। এরপর বিভাগীয় সভাপতি হিসেবে ভাষণ দেন, প্ৰাচীন ভারতে অধ্যাপিকা সায়ন্তনী পাল, মধ্যযুগীয় ভারতে অধ্যাপিকা সাফুরা রাজেক, আধুনিক ভারতে সুভাষ চন্দ্র সেন। ভারত বহির্ভূত অন্যান্য দেশ বিভাগে ভাষণ দেন অধ্যাপক কিংশুক চট্টোপাধ্যায়। প্রত্যেকের ভাষণে প্রকাশ পায় বাংলা ভাষায় ধর্ম নিরপেক্ষ ইতিহাস এবং রাজনীতির ঊর্ধ্বে থেকে সঠিক ইতিহাস চর্চার প্রচার, প্রসারে গবেষক ও শুভবুদ্ধিসম্পন্ন মানুষদের সক্রিয় হওয়ার আহ্বান। এবছর ইতিহাস সংসদের এক অন্যতম প্রতিষ্ঠাতা অধ্যাপক গৌতম চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের জন্মশতবর্ষ,সেই উপলক্ষ্যে এদিনের শেষ পর্বে গৌতম চট্টোপাধ্যায় স্মারক বক্তৃতা দেন অধ্যাপক শোভনলাল দত্ত গুপ্ত। এদিন অধ্যাপক চট্টোপাধ্যায় স্মরণে ইতিহাস সংসদ প্রকাশ করে ‘স্মরণে মননে সংগ্রামী ঐতিহাসিক গৌতম চট্টোপাধ্যায় ‘ গ্রন্থটি। ১৩জানুয়ারি অধিবেশনের দ্বিতীয় দিনে আগত গবেষকরা বিভিন্ন বিভাগে তাদের গবেষণা প্রবন্ধ পাঠ করেন। এদিন বেলা ৩টেয় অধ্যাপক আবদুল ওয়াহাব মাহমুদ স্মারক আলোচনা চক্র অনুষ্ঠিত হয়, আলোচনার বিষয় ছিল: “পুনর্বিবেচনার আলোকে ইতিহাস চর্চা: প্রসঙ্গ প্রাচীন ভারত “, আলোচনায় অংশ নেন অধ্যাপক নুপুর দাশগুপ্ত, কণাদ সিন্হা ও রজত স্যান্যাল। আলোচনা চক্রে সভাপতিত্ব করেন অধ্যাপক অরুণ বন্দোপাধ্যায়।
অধিবেশনের তৃতীয় তথা শেষ দিনে প্রথম পর্বেও প্রথম ও দ্বিতীয় দিনের মত প্রাচীন ভারত, মধ্যযুগ, আধুনিক ভারতের আর্থ-সামাজিক ও রাজনৈতিক, আন্দোলন ও সমাবেশ, আঞ্চলিক, চিন্তাচেতনা, সাংস্কৃতিক,সাহিত্যকেন্দ্রিক উপবিভাগে এবং লিঙ্গের ইতিহাস(এবার নতুন যুক্ত) ও নারী, বিজ্ঞান,প্রযুক্তি,পরিবেশ ও স্বাস্থ্য, ক্রীড়া ইতিহাস (এবার নতুন যুক্ত) ,ভারত বহির্ভূত অন্যান্য দেশ বিভাগে গবেষকরা তাদের গবেষণা নিবন্ধ পেশ করেন। ৩ দিনের এই অধিবেশনে বিভিন্ন দিনে ২৯৪ জন গবেষক তাদের গবেষণা নিবন্ধ পাঠ করেন। অধিবেশনের শেষ দিনের শেষ পর্বে রীতি অনুযায়ী অনুষ্ঠিত হয় বার্ষিক সাধারণ সভা। সভায় সম্পাদকীয় প্রতিবেদন পেশ করেন সাধারণ সম্পাদক অধ্যাপক আশীষ কুমার দাস,আয় ব্যয়ের বার্ষিক হিসাব পেশ করেন কোষাধ্যক্ষ অধ্যাপক সাজেদ বিশ্বাস, সাধারণ সভায় বেশ কিছু প্রস্তাব পেশ হয়। সহ সভাপতি অধ্যাপক সুস্নাত দাশ গাজায় গণহত্যার বিরুদ্ধে প্রস্তাব পেশ করেন। প্রস্তাবটি সমর্থিত ও গৃহীত হয়।
যুগ্ম সম্পাদক অধ্যাপক মহীতোষ গায়েন নালন্দা সহ ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিণত বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলি সংস্কার করে পুনরায় চালু এবং ইতিহাস প্রসিদ্ধ স্থান, স্মৃতিসৌধগুলি সংরক্ষিত করার ২টি প্রস্তাব দেন, সর্মথন করেন কার্যনির্বাহী সদস্য অধ্যাপক অমিয় ঘোষ, সভায় তা গৃহীত হয়। কার্যনির্বাহী সদস্য অধ্যাপক অনুপ পল্লে জাতীয় শিক্ষানীতির অভিমুখের বিরুদ্ধে এবং ইতিহাসের গৈরিকীকরণের বিরুদ্ধে প্রস্তাব পেশ করেন, এটি সমর্থন করেন কার্যনির্বাহী সদস্য অধ্যাপক শুভ্রাংশু রায়,এটিও সভায় গৃহীত হয়।
যুগ্ম সম্পাদক অধ্যাপক বিমান সমাদ্দার ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন করার পর অধিবেশনের সমাপ্তি ঘোষণা করেন সংসদের সভাপতি অধ্যাপক অরুণ বন্দোপাধ্যায়। তিন দিনের এই আন্তর্জাতিক অধিবেশনে দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত ও বাংলাদেশ থেকে ৩৭৫ জন গবেষক, শিক্ষক,অধ্যাপক, শিক্ষাবিদ, ইতিহাসবিদ, ছাত্রছাত্রী প্রতিনিধি যোগ দেন।
বাংলা ভাষায় বিজ্ঞানভিত্তিক ও দল- মত- ধর্ম নিরপেক্ষ ইতিহাস চর্চার সর্ব বৃহৎ অমোঘ পীঠস্থান পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ইতিহাস সংসদের আন্তর্জাতিক এই অধিবেশন যে সার্বিক অর্থে সফল তা নিশ্চিত করে বলা যায়।
Own Correspondent, Newbarrackpore, Kolkata: The 39th Annual Session of the West Bengal Itihasa Sangsad held at Newbarrackpore Acharya Prafullachandra College concluded on January 14. Last January 12, this international session was started by West Bengal State University Vice-Chancellor Professor Rajkumar Kothari, Acting Principal of Acharya Prafullachandra College Syed Rafi Ahmed, College President Dr. Nikhil Halder, President of Itihasa Sangsad Prof. Arun Bandopadhyay, Vice President Prof. Susnath Das, Editor Prof. Ashish Kumar Das, Joint Editor Prof. Mahitosh Gayen and Prof. Biman Samaddar in the presence. On the first day of the session ie 12th January After the speech of the Chief Guest and the President, a compilation of 104 selected papers read in various departments in the previous session was published in ‘History Inquiry-37’. Mallyaban Chattopadhyay, Krishna Kumar Sarkar, and Shankar Dev Maiti have received the Indrani Roy Memorial Award for the papers read in the 38th session and published in ‘History Enquiry-37’. Md. Morshedul Alam received the Gautam Chattopadhyay Memorial Award. Aniruddha Ghatak received the Radhakumud Mukhopadhyay Memorial Award, and Nimai Murmu received the Dhananjay Das Memorial Award. Sangeeta Kole received the Manju Chattopadhyay Memorial Award. Milli Saha Poddar received the Sabyasachi Bhattacharya Memorial Award. Sutapa Bhattacharya received the Aniruddha Roy Memorial Award. Bubai Jana received the Nalini Prabha Ghosh Memorial Award. Vishnupad Das Smriti Award Antara Bera and Ritvik Biswas. Srabanti Kanjilal received the Subascinchan Roy Memorial Award and Arnab Chatterjee received the Sayantani Bhattacharya Award.
Prof. Amar Farooqui of Delhi University delivered the keynote address in the session, in his speech he spoke about the alarming trend of fake history and social media influencing that history in the public mind. Then Professor Sayantani Pal, Professor in Ancient India, Professor Safura Rajek in Medieval India, and Subhash Chandra Sen in Modern India spoke as departmental presidents. Professor Kingshuk Chattopadhyay addressed the section of other countries outside India. Everyone’s speech revealed a call for researchers and people of good sense to be active in promoting and disseminating correct historical practice in the Bengali language, neutral history and politics. This year is the birth centenary of Professor Gautam Chatterjee, one of the founders of the Itihasa Sangsad. Professor Shovanlal Dutta Gupta gave a commemorative lecture on Gautam Chatterjee in the last session of the day. On this day, in memory of Professor Chattopadhyay, the History Sangsad published the book ‘Smrane Manane Sangamri Historik Gautam Chattopadhyay’. On the second day of the session on January 13, the visiting researchers read their papers in different sections. Prof. Abdul Wahab Mahmud’s memorial discussion cycle was held at 3 pm on this day, the topic of discussion was: “Practice of History in the Light of Revision: Context Ancient India”, Prof. Nupur Dasgupta, Kanad Sinha and Rajat Sanyal participated in the discussion. Prof. Arun Bandopadhyay presided over the discussion.
On the third and last day of the session, in the first phase as well as on the first and second day, ancient India, medieval, modern India, socio-economic and political, movement and assembly, regional, thought, cultural, literature and history of gender (newly added) and women, science, Researchers present their research articles in Technology, Environment and Health, History of Sports (newly added this time), Other countries outside India. In this 3-day session, 294 researchers read their research papers on different days. The Annual General Meeting is held as usual on the last day of the session. General Secretary Prof. Ashish Kumar Das presented the editorial report in the meeting, Treasurer Prof. Sajed Biswas presented the annual income and expenditure account, several proposals were presented in the general meeting. Vice President Professor Susnat Das presented a resolution against the genocide in Gaza. The motion was seconded and adopted.
Joint editor Prof. Mahitosh Gayen made 2 proposals to renovate and reopen various universities that have become ruins including Nalanda and preserve historical places and monuments, supported by executive member Prof. Amiya Ghosh, it was accepted in the meeting. Executive member Prof. Anup Palle moved a motion against the orientation of the National Education Policy and against the glorification of history, seconded by Executive member Prof. Subhranshu Roy, which was also accepted in the meeting. After vote of thanks by Joint Secretary Prof. Biman Samadda, President of Parliament Prof. Arun Bandopadhyay announced the end of the session. 375 researchers, teachers, professors, educationists, historians, student representatives from different parts of the country and Bangladesh joined this three-day international session. It can be confirmed that the international session of the West Bengal History Society, the largest platform for science-based and non-party-religion-based history practice in Bengali language, was a success in the overall sense.
