গোপাল বিশ্বাস, নদীয়া- ফের একবার স্নান করতে গিয়ে গঙ্গায় তলিয়ে গেল এক অজ্ঞাত পরিচয় ব্যাক্তি, এমনই চাঞ্চল্যকর ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে মঙ্গলবার বিকেল আনুমানিক তিনটে নাগাদ নদীয়ার নবদ্বীপ দন্ডপানি তলা স্নান ঘাটে। ঘটনা প্রসঙ্গে স্থানীয় বাসিন্দা অসিত দে জানান (প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী) মঙ্গলবার বিকেলে তিনি নদী ঘাটের একপাশে মাছ ধরছিলেন। সেই সময় ১ ব্যক্তি নদীর ঘাটে জামা ,জুতো খুলে স্নান করতে নেমে হঠাৎ করে জলে তলিয়ে যায়। ঘটনাটি দেখতে পেয়ে তিনি মাছ ধরা ছেড়ে তাঁকে বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা করেন। কিন্তু তার আগেই ওই ব্যক্তি জলে তলিয়ে যায়। পাশাপাশি অপর এক প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী জানায়, এই দিন বিকেল আনুমানিক তিনটে নাগাদ অজ্ঞাত পরিচয় এক ব্যক্তি গঙ্গার ঘটে স্নান করতে নেমে হঠাৎ জলে তলিয়ে যায়। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছায় নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ। পাশাপাশি জলপ তলিয়ে জাওয়া ব্যক্তির নাম ও পরিচয় জানার জন্য তদন্ত শুরু করেছে নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ। পাশাপাশি বুধবার সকাল থেকেই বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা দপ্তর এসে নদীতে ডুবুরি নামিয়ে ব্যক্তির দেহের খোঁজে চালাচ্ছে তল্লাশি।
Gopal Biswas, Nadia: An unidentified man drowned in the Ganga while taking a bath in Nadia’s Dandapani Tala bathing ghat at around 3 pm on Tuesday. Asit Dey, a local resident, said he was fishing on one side of the river ghat on Tuesday afternoon. At that time, a person took off his shirt and shoes at the river ghat and suddenly drowned in the water. Seeing the incident, he gave up fishing and tried to save him. But before that, the man drowned in the water. Another eyewitness said that at around 3 pm on this day, an unidentified person went to take a bath in the Ganga and suddenly drowned in the water. On information, Nabadwip police reached the spot. Nabadwip police have started an investigation to ascertain the name and identity of the man. Since Wednesday morning, the disaster management department has been searching for the body of the man by deploying divers in the river.
