২১ শে ফেব্রুয়ারি, শালবনী – নিজের ভাষায় কথা বলার ও শিক্ষার অধিকার রক্ষায় যে আন্দোলন ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের রক্তে রাঙা। শিক্ষাঙ্গনের কচিকাঁচাদের প্রতিস্পর্ধার সেই দিনটিকে যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদায় পালিত হলো শালবনীর বিভিন্ন সংস্থা ও বিদ্যালয়ের তরফে। রাধামোহনপুর আদিবাসী প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে অনাড়ম্বর অনুষ্ঠানে শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য নিবেদন করা হয় ভাষাশহীদদের স্মরণে। তবে মূল কর্মসূচি হয় পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বর্তমান সময়ের আলোচিত কবি ও প্রাবন্ধিক নির্মাল্য মুখোপাধ্যায়ের সঞ্চালনায় বৈঁউচ্যা প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে।এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এলাকার বিশিষ্ট শিক্ষানুরাগী সন্দীপ সিংহ, তন্ময় সিংহ,সুব্রত সানি, রামসরোজ মুখার্জী, নির্মল মান্ডি সহ অন্যান্যরা। ছাত্র ছাত্রীরা নাচে, গানে কবিতায় ও বক্তব্যের মাধ্যমে এই দিনটির গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন। বিদ্যালয়ের ভারপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষিকা পারুল হাঁসদা ও অন্যান্য শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকারা অনুষ্ঠানের শেষে প্রীতিভোজের ও ব্যাবস্থা করেছিলেন। 
21st February, Shalbani – The movement to protect the right to speak own language and education is dyed in the blood of students. The day of competition between the school’s freshmen was celebrated with due dignity by various organizations and schools of Shalbani. Radhamohanpur Adivasi Primary School paid tribute to the language martyrs in a casual ceremony. However, the main program was conducted by Nirmalya Mukherjee, a well-known poet and essayist of West Bengal, at Vainuchya Primary School. In this event, prominent educationists of the area, Sandeep Singh, Tanmoy Singh, Subrata Sani, Ramsaroj Mukherjee, Nirmal Mandi and others were present. Students highlight the importance of this day through dance, song, poem and speech. Acting teacher of the school, Parul Hansda and other teachers organized the reception at the end of the program.
