ভারতীয় সাহিত্য, সংস্কৃতি ও দর্শনের প্রচার – প্রসার এবং পুরানো নথি ও পাণ্ডুলিপি সংরক্ষণে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে কাজ করে চলেছে কলকাতার ভক্তিবেদান্ত রিসার্চ সেন্টার। সামাজিক ক্ষেত্রে এই প্রতিষ্ঠানের বিশেষ অবদানের জন্য এ বছর তাদের দেওয়া হল ইন্ডিয়ান চেম্বার অফ কমার্স সোশ্যাল ইম্প্যাক্ট এওয়ার্ড। মঙ্গলবার কলকাতায় এক অনুষ্ঠানে ভক্তি বেদান্ত রিসার্চ সেন্টারের ডিন বলরাম লিলা প্রভুর হাতে আই সি সি সোশ্যাল ইমপ্যাক্ট আ্যওয়ার্ড তুলে দেন রাজ্যপাল সি ভি আনন্দ বোস। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন ভক্তিবেদান্ত গবেষণা কেন্দ্রের উন্নয়ন প্রধান অনুরাগ পারেখ,ডেপুটি রেজিস্টার আরাধ্য ভগবান দাস এবং উন্নয়ন উপদেষ্টা অনুরাগ শর্মা প্রমুখ। সামাজিক ক্ষেত্রে অনন্য অবদানকে স্বীকৃতি দিতে ২০১৯ সাল থেকে জাতীয় স্তরে এই পুরস্কার চালু করে আইসিসি। আবেদনকারী কর্পোরেট, স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন ও অন্যান্য প্রতিষ্ঠানের মধ্য থেকে পুরস্কার প্রাপককে বেছে নেওয়া হয়। এই পুরস্কার প্রদানের জন্য সবচেয়ে বেশি জোর দেওয়া হয়েছে – এমন উদ্ভাবনমূলক কাজকে, যার ইতিবাচক প্রভাব সামাজিক উন্নয়নের উপরে পড়ে। সামাজিক ক্ষেত্রে বিশেষ অবদানের জন্যে এবছর ভক্তি বেদান্ত রিসার্চ সেন্টারকে এই পুরষ্কার দিতে পেরে তাঁরা খুশি বলে জানালেন আইসিসি সোশ্যাল ইমপ্যাক্ট অ্যাওয়ার্ডের নলেজ পার্টনার সাস্টেনেবেল সলিউশানের এর নির্দেশক মাধবী গুহ। তিনি বলেন, ভারতের সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য সংরক্ষণের জন্য ভক্তি বেদান্ত রিসার্চ সেন্টার যে কাজ করে চলেছে তা সমাজে একটি ইতিবাচক প্রভাব সৃষ্টি করেছে। দেশে এই ধরনের কাজ করে এরকম এন জি ও খুবই কম রয়েছে বলে তিনি আরও জানান। ভক্তি বেদান্ত রিসার্চ সেন্টারের ডিন ড. সুমন্ত রুদ্র বলেন, কিছুদিন আগেই ইনফোমেরিক্সের বিচারে গ্রেড ওয়ান এন জি ও র তকমা পেয়েছে ভক্তি বেদান্ত রিসার্চ সেন্টার। তারপর আই সি সি র এই পুরস্কার আগামীদিনে তাদের এইরকম গবেষণার কাজ করতে আরও অনুপ্রেরণা যোগাবে।
The Bhaktivedanta Research Center in Kolkata has been working for a long time to promote Indian literature, culture and philosophy and preserve ancient documents and manuscripts. This year, the organization was awarded the Indian Chamber of Commerce Social Impact Award for its outstanding contribution to the social sector. Governor CV Anand Bose presented the ICC Social Impact Award to Balram Leela Prabhu, Dean of Bhakti Vedanta Research Center at a function in Kolkata on Tuesday. Bhaktivedanta Research Center Development Head Anurag Parekh, Deputy Registrar Aradhya Bhagwan Das and Development Advisor Anurag Sharma were also present. ICC has introduced this award at the national level since 2019 to recognize unique contributions in the social field. Award recipients are selected from among corporate, voluntary organizations and other organizations that apply. The award’s emphasis is on innovative work that has a positive impact on social development. Madhavi Guha, Director of Knowledge Partner Sustainable Solutions, ICC Social Impact Award, said that they are happy to give this award to Bhakti Vedanta Research Center this year for its special contribution in the social field. He said that the work done by the Bhakti Vedanta Research Center to preserve the cultural heritage of India has created a positive impact on the society. Sumanta Rudra said that Bhakti Vedanta Research Center has been awarded Grade One NGO status by Infomerics some time ago. Then this award from ICC will give them more motivation to do such research work in the future.
