*কলকাতা, ৭ মার্চ, ২০২৪:* সমাজে নারীর অবদান প্রচুর। পুরুষের সঙ্গে কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে সমাজ গড়া এবং তাকে লালন করার কাজ অভিনব দক্ষতায় করেন নারীরা। নিজের স্বাস্থ্যের তোয়াক্কা না করে নারীরা তাঁদের আশেপাশের মানুষজনকে খুশি রাখার কাজ করেন হাসিমুখে। কিন্তু, সেই নারীরও সুস্থ থাকার অধিকার রয়েছে এবং তাঁকে সুস্থ রাখার দায়িত্ব সমাজের বাকি অর্ধেকের। আজ আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসে সেই কথাই মনে করিয়ে দেওয়ার প্রয়াস নিয়েছে বিশ্বের অন্যতম মেডটেক সংস্থা ইজিআরএক্স। দমদম আনন্দ আশ্রম সারদা বিদ্যাপীঠে আয়োজিত এক অনুষ্ঠানে ৩০০-রও বেশি ছাত্রীর হিমোগ্লোবিন পরীক্ষা করেছে ইজিআরএক্স। তাদের ব্যতিক্রমী হিমোগ্লোবিন স্ক্রিনিং ডিভাইস ইজিচেকের সাহায্যে রক্ত ছাড়াই এই পরীক্ষা সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। প্রযুক্তিকে ব্যবহার করে কিভাবে স্বাস্থ্য পরিকাঠামোকে আরও উন্নত করা যায় তারই পথপ্রদর্শক এই আধুনিক ডিভাইস। বর্তমানে অ্যানিমিয়া বা রক্তাল্পতা সমাজের বড় সমস্যা। বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থার রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, এটি পরবর্তীকালে মহামারীর রূপ নিতে পারে। কারণ, সাধারণত অ্যানিমিয়ার পরীক্ষা করানোর চল এ দেশে সেভাবে নেই বললেই চলে। ন্যাশনাল ফ্যামিলি হেলথ সার্ভের সমীক্ষা অনুযায়ী, মহিলাদের মধ্যেই এই রোগ বেশি হয়ে থাকে। তাই আজ আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসে পরবর্তী প্রজন্মকে সুস্থ জীবনের দিকে এক ধাপ এগিয়ে দেওয়ার জন্য এই অনুষ্ঠানের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে ইজিআরএক্স।
এই অনুষ্ঠানে অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সমাজের বিশিষ্ট নারীরা। এদিন অতিথির স্থান অলংকৃত করেছেন খ্যাতনামা লেখিকা দেবারতি মুখোপাধ্যায়, বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী দোলন মুখোপাধ্যায়, বেঙ্গল চেম্বার অফ কমার্সের আইটি অন্ত্রপ্রনর অ্যান্ড ইকমার্স কমিটির একজিকিউটিভ ডিরেক্টর অনিতা আঢ্য, দমদম আনন্দ আশ্রম সারদা বিদ্যাপীঠের প্রধান শিক্ষিকা এবং বিশিষ্ট শিক্ষাবিদ ইন্দ্রাণী ভদ্র। ইজিআরএক্সের তরফে অনুষ্ঠানে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেছেন সংস্থার কোফাউন্ডার এবং সিওও চৈতালি রায়।
অ্যানিমিয়া পরীক্ষণের পাশাপাশি এই অনুষ্ঠানে দু’টি অভিনব আলোচনাচক্রের আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। যেখানে নারীদের ক্ষমতায়ন, তাঁদের অধিকার এবং স্বাস্থ্য নিয়ে দীর্ঘ আলোচনা চলেছে। বিশিষ্ট অতিথিরা সেই আলোচনাচক্রে তাঁদের মতামত রেখেছেন।
এছাড়াও ইজিআরএক্স তাঁদের দু’টি প্রোডাক্টের প্রোটোটাইপ উন্মোচন করেছে এই অনুষ্ঠানে। এই দু’টি ডিভাইস ইজিডিটেক্ট রেঞ্জের আওতাভুক্ত। এর মধ্যে একটির নাম ওভা৫, যেটি মহিলাদের ফার্টিলিটি পরীক্ষা করার কাজে ব্যবহৃত হবে। আরও একটি প্রোডাক্ট থাইরয়েড স্টিমুলেটিং হরমোন পরীক্ষা করবে। স্ট্রিপের আকারের এই দুটি ডিভাইস মূলত মুত্র দিয়ে পরীক্ষা করা যাবে। থাইরয়েড পরীক্ষণের জন্য ব্যবহৃত ডিভাইসটি রক্তের সাহায্যেও ব্যবহার করা যাবে।
এই অনুষ্ঠান প্রসঙ্গে ইজিআরএক্সের কোফাউন্ডার এবং সিওও চৈতালি রায় বলেন, “মহিলাদের কাঁধে প্রচুর দায়িত্ব থাকায় তাঁরা নিজেদের যত্ন নিতে ভুলে যান। নিজেদের স্বাস্থ্যের কথাও তাঁদের মাথায় থাকে না। ফলে অজান্তেই তাঁদের দেহে অনেক রোগ বাসা বাঁধে। এই কারণেই আজকের দিনে আমরা তাঁদের মনে করিয়ে দিতে চাই নিজের যত্ন নেওয়াটা কতটা জরুরি। পরবর্তী প্রজন্মকে সুস্থ সকাল দেখানোর জন্য আজ মহিলাদের সুস্বাস্থ্যের কথা মাথায় রাখতে হবে বৈকি। আজ বিনামূল্যে হিমোগ্লোবিন পরীক্ষা করিয়ে আমরা সমাজকে বোঝাতে চাইছি, আগামী দিনে নির্ঝঞ্জাট কায়দায় স্বাস্থ্যের খেয়াল রাখা সম্ভব। ইজিআরএক্স আপনাকে সুস্বাস্থ্যকর ভবিষ্যতের দিকে এগিয়ে দেওয়ার চেষ্টাই করে চলেছে। আমরা আরও অনেক হেলথ ডিভাইস নিয়ে আসছি, যা আপনাদের ভবিষ্যতকে আরও সুন্দর করে তুলবে। আমাদের বিশ্বাস সমাজকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য নারীর স্বাস্থ্যের খেয়াল রাখা জরুরি।”

More than 300 women, including school girls, were screened for amenia during the event_
*Kolkata, 07th, March 2024:* Recognising the vital role women play in society, and empowering them with crucial information regarding their health, EzeRx, a pioneering healthcare organisation, conducted a free anemia screening to mark Women’s Day 2024. Organised at Dum Dum Ananda Ashrama Sarada Vidyapeeth, Kolkata the event witnessed a healthy turnout of 300+ women, including school girls. The women received quick and accurate assessments through EzeCheck, EzeRx’s non-invasive portable device which can detect anemia instantly without any pricks or blood draws. The event aimed to promote awareness and early detection of anemia among women, addressing a crucial health concern prevalent in our society.

Recent data revealed by the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) indicates a gender disparity, with 1,020 women for every 1,000 men, more vulnerable to various diseases and health issues. Although pregnant women are especially susceptible to anemia, NFHS-5 findings revealed that only 49.7% of women aged 15-49 undergo comprehensive antenatal checkups. EzeRx is actively bridging these gaps through its unique Women’s Day celebrations, aimed at redirecting women toward healthier lives.
The event witnessed the presence of women from different walks of life, including NGO workers, and healthcare specialists. Apart from comprehensive anemia checks, the event featured a dynamic panel discussion on strategies for empowering women in the workplace led by industry experts and thought leaders.
