রাজেন্দ্র নাথ দত্ত:মুর্শিদাবাদ : ভোটের বাদ্যি বেজে গিয়েছে। ঘোষণা হয়েছে প্রার্থী তালিকা। প্রার্থীরা ভোটের ময়দানে নেমে পড়েছেন জোরদার প্রচারে। রাজনীতির সবথেকে বড় উৎসব পর্ব শুরু হয়েছে ইতিমধ্যেই। আর এই ভোটের হাওয়া রাজনীতির ব্যক্তিত্বদের ছাড়িয়ে আরও এক শ্রেণির কাছে বড় উৎসবের সময়। কারণ ভোট এলে তাঁদের মুখে হাসি ফোটে। হয় বাড়তি লক্ষ্মীলাভ।ওরা বাজনা বাদক। ভোটের সময় তাঁদের ডাক আসে চারিদিক থেকে। রাজনীতির কোনও দলের রং দেখার সময় পান না তাঁরা। যেদিক থেকে ডাক আসে, সেখানেই ছোটেন তাঁরা। ভোটের জমকালো প্রচারকে আরও মাতিয়ে তোলেন তাঁরা। প্রার্থীরা যখন জোরদার প্রচারে ব্যস্ত থাকেন, তখন এই বাজনা বাদকরা ভোটারদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করেন। গণতন্ত্রের উৎসবের বাজনা শোনা যায় তাঁদের মাধ্যমে।স্বাভাবিকভাবেই ভোট এলে মুখে হাসি ফোটে বাজনা বাদকদের কারণ এই সময় বাড়তি উপার্জনের সুযোগ হাতে পান তারা। বিয়ে অথবা উৎসব বছরের কম সময় চলে। ফলে সেই অর্থে উপার্জন হয় না। কিন্তু ভোটের সময় চতুর্দিক থেকে ডাক আসে। ফলে ব্যাপক ব্যস্ততার মধ্যে দিয়ে দিন কাটে। পরিবারকে দেওয়ার মতসময় হাতে থাকে না। কিন্তু এই সময় লক্ষ্মী লাভ হয় বেশ ভাল। বাজনা বাদকরা বলছেন, ভোট তাঁদের কাছে বড় উৎসব। ভোট এলেই তাঁরা খুশি হয়ে যান। বিশেষ করে লোকসভা বা বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে বড় বড় ডাক পান তাঁরা। প্রার্থীরা বিভিন্ন দিকে প্রচার করেন। আর ভোটের বাজনা শোনাতে প্রার্থীর সঙ্গে হাজির হন তারা। ফলে বিয়ে বাড়ি বা উৎসবে তাঁরা গেলেও অপেক্ষা করে থাকেন ভোটের জন্য। ভোট আসার আগে থেকে রাজনীতির ঘরে যেমন প্রস্তুতি শুরু হয়, তেমনি প্রস্তুতি শুরু হয়ে যায় এই বাজনা বাদকদেরও ঘরেও।
