বাসন্তী পূজো এবং রামনবমী উপলক্ষে দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগণার কাকদ্বীপের রবীন্দ্র গ্রামপঞ্চায়েতে ভারত সেবাশ্রম সঙ্ঘের গ্রামীণ সেবাকেন্দ্র মন্মথপুর প্রণব মন্দিরে শুরু হল সাতদিনের ‘শ্রীশ্রী প্রণব মহামিলন মেলা’। পহেলা বৈশাখ থেকে শুরু হওয়া এই মেলায় তুলে ধরা হয়েছে নানা আধ্যাত্মিক বিষয়ের স্টল। মেলা শেষ হচ্ছে শুক্রবার বাসন্তী পূজো বিসর্জনের পরের দিন। ভারত সেবাশ্রম সঙ্ঘের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা আচার্য্য শ্রীমৎ স্বামী প্রণবানন্দজী মহারাজের ১২৯তম আবির্ভাব বর্ষকে পাথেয় করে মহাষষ্টীর দিনে ১২৯ জন মায়েরা ১২৯টি শঙ্খধ্বনি করে বাসন্তী দেবীর আমন্ত্রন ও অধিবাস করেন। স্বামী প্রণবানন্দ বিদ্যামন্দিরের ১২৯ জন ছাত্র ছাত্রী তাদের বাবা মাকে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলী নিবেদন করেন ৷ ১২৯ জন মায়ের হাতে শ্রীশ্রী চন্ডী বই তুলে দেওয়া হয়। ১২৯জন কুমারী মেয়েরা ভগবান শ্রীরামের পূজা করেন ও ১২৯টি দম্পত্তিকে স্বামী প্রণবানন্দ আত্মবন্ধন সেবা সম্মান প্রদান করা হয় ৷ এছাড়া সারা এলাকার মানুষকে একসাথে নিয়ে বিভিন্ন দিনে সান্ধ্যকালীন বিনোদন মূলকম যাত্রা, বাউল, ছৌনৃত্য ও বিচিত্রা অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয় ৷ স্থানীয় প্রশাসন থেকে বহু বিশিষ্ঠ মানুষের সমাগমে এই মহামিলন মেলা সারা জেলাজুড়ে মানুষের মন ছুঁয়ে যায় ৷
On the occasion of Basanti Puja and Ram Navami, the seven-day ‘Shri Pranab Mahamilan Mela’ started at Manmathpur Pranab Mandir, Rural Sevakendra of Bharat Sevashram Sangh in Rabindra Gram Panchayat of Kakdwip, South 24 Parganas. Stalls of various spiritual subjects are presented in this fair which started from Pahela Boishakh. The fair ends on Friday, the day after Basanti Puja. In celebration of the 129th advent year of Acharya Shrimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj, the founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, 129 mothers chanted 129 conch sounds to invoke and abode Goddess Basanti on the day of Mahashasthi. 129 students of Swami Pranabananda Vidyamandir paid their respects to their parents. Sri Sri Chandi books were given to 129 mothers. 129 virgin girls worshiped Lord Sri Ram and 129 couples were honored with Swami Pranavananda Atmabandhan Seva Samman. Apart from this, evening entertainment based on the yatra, baul, chaunrita and vichitra programs is organized on different days to bring together people from all over the area. With the gathering of many prominent people from the local administration, this Mahamilan Mela touched the hearts of people throughout the district.
