বাংলা সাহিত্যের এক অনন্য ধারার নাম অনুবাদ সাহিত্য। বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন ভাষায় রচিত গল্প, কবিতা ও প্রবন্ধ নিজের ভাষায় অনুবাদ করে যে সাহিত্য সৃষ্টি হয় সেই ‘অনুবাদ সাহিত্যের’ কদর আজও সমান গুরুত্বের।
এই ভিন্নধারার সাহিত্য সৃষ্টির জন্য এবার এ রাজ্যের অনুবাদকদের সম্মানিত করল ১৯৭৫ সাল থেকে প্রকাশিত বাংলা ভাষায় রচিত একমাত্র পত্রিকা ‘অনুবাদ পত্রিকা’৷ এই পত্রিকার পথ চলা শুরু হয়েছিল বৈশম্পায়ন ঘোষাল ও তাঁর স্ত্রী সোনালী ঘোষালের হাত ধরে। সম্প্রতি প্রয়াত হয়েছেন তাঁরা। এখন কন্যা বিতস্তা ঘোষাল এই পত্রিকার সম্পাদনা করে চলেছেন। পত্রিকার ৫০ বছর উপলক্ষে বিধাননগরের ‘ঐকতান’ অডিটোরিয়ামে অনুষ্ঠিত হল ভাষা সংসদ ও অনুবাদ পত্রিকা আয়োজিত ‘জীবনকৃতি সারস্বত সম্মান’ ও ‘সোনালী ঘোষাল স্মৃতি সারস্বত সম্মান’ প্রদান অনুষ্ঠান। ‘জীবনকৃতি সারস্বত সম্মান’ প্রদান করা হয় বিশিষ্ট অনুবাদক নীলাঞ্জন চট্টোপাধ্যায়, বিপ্লব বিশ্বাস ও অনুরাধা মহাপাত্রকে। ‘সোনালী ঘোষাল স্মৃতি সারস্বত সম্মান’ পান শ্যামল ভট্টাচার্য, নন্দিতা ভট্টাচার্য, সুদীপ্ত চট্টোপাধ্যায়, মায়া সিদ্ধান্ত(পত্রিকা সম্পাদনা) ও সাহিত্যিক সাংবাদিক শঙ্করলাল ভট্টাচার্যকে। পত্রিকার সম্পাদক ও কর্ণধার বিতস্তা ঘোষাল বলেন অনুবাদ চর্চা ও অনুবাদকের গুরুত্বকে স্বীকৃতি দেবার লক্ষেই তাঁদের এই উদ্যোগ।
অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সাহিত্য অকাদেমীর আঞ্চলিক অধিকর্তা দেবেন্দ্র কুমার দেবেশ, সঙ্গীতশিল্পী ইন্দ্রাণী ভট্টাচার্য, সাহিত্যিক জয়ন্ত দে, মনোবিদ দেবাঞ্জন পান, আইনজীবী কল্লোল বসু,আইনজীবী রম্যানী ঘোষাল, রাপূর্ণা বুটিকের বিপাশা ঘোষাল, গ্রিন ফ্রাওয়ারের শেখ রেজাউল করিম, অনুবাদ পত্রিকা ও ভাষা সংসদের সহ-সম্পাদক বিবেক চট্টোপাধ্যায় সহ বিদগ্ধজনেরা। অনুষ্ঠানে মনোরম আলেখ্য পরিবেশন করেন শুভ্রা সেনগুপ্ত, বাসব বসাক,রাখী সরকার ও তাপস রায়। সমগ্র অনুষ্ঠানটি পরিচালনা ও সঞ্চালনায় ছিলেন বিবেক চট্টোপাধ্যায়।
A unique genre of Bengali literature is called translation literature. The value of ‘literature in translation’ which is created by translating stories, poems and essays written in different languages of the world into one’s own language is still of equal importance today.
The only newspaper written in Bengali since 1975, ‘Anubad Patrika’, has honored the translators of this state for creating this genre of literature. This magazine was started by Vaishampayan Ghosal and his wife Sonali Ghosal. They passed away recently. Now daughter Vitasta Ghoshal is editing this magazine. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the newspaper, the ‘Jiwankriti Saraswat Samman’ and ‘Sonali Ghoshal Smriti Saraswat Samman’ awards ceremony organized by Bhasha Sangsad and Translation magazine was held at the ‘Eiktan’ auditorium in Bidhannagar. The ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ was awarded to eminent translators Nilanjan Chatterjee, Biplab Biswas and Anuradha Mahapatra. Shyamal Bhattacharya, Nandita Bhattacharya, Sudipta Chattopadhyay, Maya Siddhant (magazine editing) and literary journalist Shankarlal Bhattacharya received ‘Sonali Ghoshal Smriti Saraswat Samman’. Vitasta Ghoshal, editor and leader of the newspaper, said that this initiative is aimed at recognizing the importance of translation practice and translators.
Regional Director of Sahitya Akademi Devendra Kumar Debesh, Musician Indrani Bhattacharya, Writer Jayant Dey, Psychologist Devanjan Pan, Lawyer Kallol Basu, Lawyer Ramani Ghoshal, Bipasha Ghoshal of Rapunna Boutique, Sheikh Rezaul Karim of Green Flower, Translation Magazine and Bhasha Sangsad were present in the eventScholars including co-editor Vivek Chatterjee.Shubhra Sengupta, Basab Basak, Rakhi Sarkar and Tapas Roy performed beautiful songs on the occasion.
