কলকাতা, ১ জুলাই ২০২৬: ভারতের রাসায়নিক ও সার মন্ত্রকের অধীনস্থ ঔষধি বিভাগ (Department of Pharmaceuticals), ভারত সরকারের অধীন জাতীয় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রতিষ্ঠান ন্যাশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট অব ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল এডুকেশন অ্যান্ড রিসার্চ (নাইপার), কলকাতা-এর ১৪তম সমাবর্তন আজ সল্টলেক সিটির অ্যানথ্রোপোলজিক্যাল সার্ভে অব ইন্ডিয়া-র অডিটোরিয়ামে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এদিন ৯৫ জন স্নাতকোত্তর (মাস্টার্স) শিক্ষার্থী এবং ৮ জন পিএইচ.ডি. গবেষক-সহ মোট ১০৩ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে ডিগ্রি প্রদান করা হয়। এই সমাবর্তন ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল শিক্ষা এবং গবেষণার ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিষ্ঠানের উৎকর্ষ সাধনের ধারাবাহিকতায় আরও একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মাইলস্টোন হিসেবে চিহ্নিত হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন শ্রী মনোজ যোশী, আইএএস, সচিব, ঔষধি বিভাগ, রাসায়নিক ও সার মন্ত্রক, ভারত সরকার। সম্মানিত অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পদ্মশ্রী অধ্যাপক বিনোদ কে. সিং, প্রফেসর এমেরিটাস, আইআইটি কানপুর এবং আইআইএসইআর ভোপালের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা প্রাক্তন পরিচালক। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন অধ্যাপক (ড.) ইউ. এস. এন. মূর্তি, পরিচালক (অতিরিক্ত দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত), নাইপার কলকাতা। অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা হয় ঐতিহ্যবাহী একাডেমিক শোভাযাত্রা ও মঙ্গলাচরণের মাধ্যমে। পরবর্তীতে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে সমাবর্তনের উদ্বোধন ঘোষণা করা হয়। শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে অসামান্য কৃতিত্বের স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বর্ণপদক প্রদান করা হয় এবং পরবর্তীতে স্নাতকোত্তর এবং পিএইচডি-দের হাতে ডিগ্রি প্রদান করা হয়।
অধ্যাপক (ড.) মূর্তি তাঁর বক্তব্যে প্রতিষ্ঠানের বার্ষিক প্রতিবেদন উপস্থাপন করেন। এতে গবেষণা প্রকাশনা, পেটেন্ট, বহিরাগত অর্থায়নে পরিচালিত গবেষণা প্রকল্প, একাডেমিক সহযোগিতা, শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থীদের বিভিন্ন সাফল্য ও সম্মাননার উল্লেখ করা হয়। পরে ডিনের ধন্যবাদজ্ঞাপন এবং জাতীয় সঙ্গীতের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি ঘটে। নাইপার কলকাতা ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল বিজ্ঞানে উচ্চশিক্ষা ও অগ্রগামী গবেষণার একটি শীর্ষস্থানীয় জাতীয় প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ গড়ে তোলা, অত্যাধুনিক গবেষণাকে উৎসাহিত করা এবং ভারতের ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল ও স্বাস্থ্যসেবা খাতের উন্নয়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে চলেছে।
Kolkata, 1 July 2026: The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Kolkata, an Institute of National Importance under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, celebrated its 14th Convocation today at the Auditorium of the Anthropological Survey of India, Salt Lake City, Kolkata. A total of 103 students, comprising 95 Master’s graduates and 8 Ph.D. scholars, were awarded their degrees, marking another milestone in the Institute’s pursuit of excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, and innovation.
The Convocation was graced by Shri Manoj Joshi, IAS, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Padma Shri Prof. Vinod K. Singh, Professor Emeritus, IIT Kanpur and Former Founding Director, IISER Bhopal, attended as the Guest of Honour. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) U. S. N. Murty, Director (Additional Charge), NIPER Kolkata. The programme began with the ceremonial academic procession and invocation, followed by the formal declaration of the Convocation. Gold Medals were presented to meritorious students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance before the conferral of degree scrolls.
In his address, Prof. (Dr.) Murty presented the Institute Report, highlighting NIPER Kolkata’s achievements during the year, including research publications, patents, externally funded projects, academic collaborations, faculty recognitions, and student accomplishments. The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Dean and the National Anthem. NIPER Kolkata continues to strengthen its role as a premier centre for postgraduate education and advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences, committed to developing skilled professionals and advancing innovation to support India’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
