“Bengal has waited a long time for this. AIC-Techno is the first Atal Incubation Centre for startups in the state, backed by NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission. For a region that has produced some of India’s finest scientific and entrepreneurial minds, the absence of that national-grade infrastructure has been a quiet handicap. Today, that changes. I’m proud to have officially launched AIC-Techno at our university’s convocation. We are committing to incubating 500 startups over the next five years. Not mentored casually, not celebrated at a demo day and forgotten, but built, funded, and taken to market. Behind that commitment sits an AI-first curriculum, over 100 Techno India Group campuses, global academic partnerships, and a hundred thousand students who no longer have to leave home to build something serious. AIC-Techno is the machinery that we intend to use to put West Bengal back at the centre of India’s startup story.” Mr Meghdut Roychowdhury, Executive Director and Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group.
