কোলাঘাটে পর পর পথ দূর্ঘটনা, বেপরোয়া যান প্রতিরোধে বিক্ষোভ মিছিল ।।

অরিজিৎ মাইতির রিপোর্টঃ কোলাঘাটে বিবেকানন্দ মোড় থেকে জশাড় রুট বরাবর সম্প্রতি প্রায় সাত কিমি নতুন প্রশস্ত পিচরোড নির্মিত হয়েছে। ফলস্বরূপ সবধরনের যানবাহনের গতি বেড়েছে। এর মধ্যে বিশেষ করে দেখা যাচ্ছে একশ্রণীর মোটর বাইকের বেপরোয়া দৌরাত্ম্য। এরফলে গত কয়েকমাসে একের পর এক দূর্ঘটনা  ঘটে গেছে। গূরুতরভাবে জখম হয়েছেন পথচারী, যাত্রী থেকে পড়তে যাওয়া-আসার পথে ছাত্রছাত্রীরাও। এমনকি এই লোকাল রাস্তায় বেপরোয়া গাড়ির দূর্ঘটনায় একাধিক প্রানহানীর ঘটনাও ঘটে গেছে। বর্তমানে চিকিৎসাধীন বেশ কয়েকজন।  চলার পথে একের পর এক এইরকম মারনঘাতি ঘটনায় কোলাঘাটের মানুষ এখন পথে হেঁটে যেতেও ভয় পাচ্ছেন। বাড়ির লোকজন বাজার-হাটে বেরোলে বা ছেলে মেয়ে স্কুলে বা টিউশনি পড়তে গেলে পথদূর্ঘটনার ভয়ে ভীত ও সন্ত্রস্ত বোধ করছেন। চারদিন আগে এক কলেজ ছাত্রীর মর্মান্তিক দূর্ঘটনায় কোলাঘাটের মানুষ আরো আতঙ্কিত ও  উৎকণ্ঠার মধ্যে আছেন।

Arijit Maity’s report: About seven kilometers of new wide pitch road has recently been constructed along the Jashar route from Vivekananda intersection in Kolaghat. As a result, the speed of all types of vehicles has increased. In particular, it is seen that the reckless violence of the motorcycle of one-wheeler. As a result, there have been one accident after another in the last few months. Pedestrians and students were also injured on the way to and from the passengers. There have even been several incidents of loss of lives due to reckless car accidents on this local road. Several are currently under treatment.  The people of Kolaghat are now afraid to walk on the road in such a fatal incident one after the other on the way. The people of the house are feeling scared and frightened by road accidents when they go out to the market-market or when the boy and daughter go to school or tuition. The people of Kolaghat are more frightened and anxious after the tragic accident of a college student four days ago.

এই অবস্থায় কোলাঘাট পরিবেশ রক্ষা কমিটির আহ্বানে এবং সর্বস্তরের মানুষের সমাগমে এদিন বিকেলে কোলাঘাট  বিবেকানন্দ মোড়ে একটি বিক্ষোভ সভা হয়।  এরপর বেপরোয়া যান প্রতিরোধ ও প্রশাসনিক তৎপরতার দাবী জানিয়ে বিক্ষোভ মিছিল কোলাঘাট বিবেকানন্দ মোড়, খড়িচক পাড়া, বি ডি ও অফিস পর্যন্ত পরিক্রমা করে। মিছিল  শেষে কোলা বিড হাউসে এই সংক্রান্ত ডেপুটেশনে দেওয়া হয়। আজকের মিছিলে অংশনেন, বিভিন্ন স্তরের ব‍্যবসায়ি, চাকুরীজীবি থেকে ছাত্রছাত্রী, পথচারি থেকে বাড়ির গৃহবধূরা সহ সমাজের সর্বস্তরের মানুষজন। ব‍্যবসায়ী নন্দ কিশোর বাজাজ, গৃহবধূ তরুনা গাঙ্গুলি, ছাত্রি সাগরিকা দাস , স্থানীয় যুবক শুভঙ্কর বোস সহ এদিন সমবেত সবাই সম্মিলত কন্ঠে জানায়েছেন ” ফিরিয়ে দাও পথ নিরাপত্তা, আমরা অন্তত এই লোকাল রোডে যেন নির্বিঘ্নে  পথ চলতে পারি।” পরিবেশ রক্ষা কমিটির পক্ষে সম্পাদক অসিত সাহা জানিয়েছেন , স্থানীয় রোডেই এইভাবে প্রান হাতে করে পথ চলা যায় না , প্রশাসন এই ব‍্যাপারে যতদ্রুত সম্ভব উপযুক্ত ব‍্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করুন , আমরা সেই দাবী জানিয়েছি।

In such a situation, a protest meeting was held at Kolaghat Vivekananda intersection this afternoon at the call of Kolaghat Environment Protection Committee and in the gathering of people from all walks of life.  The protest march then marched to Kolaghat Vivekananda intersection, Kharichak Para, BDO office, demanding prevention of reckless vehicles and administrative activities. At the end of the procession, Cola was given on deputation in this regard at the Bid House. People from all walks of life, including businessmen of different levels, from employees to students, pedestrians to housewives, took part in today’s procession. Businessman Nand Kishore Bajaj, housewife Taruna Ganguly, student Sagarika Das, local youth Subhankar Bose and all the people gathered together on this day. Asit Saha, secretary of the Environment Protection Committee, said, “We have demanded that the administration take appropriate measures in this regard as soon as possible, so it is not possible to walk on the local road in this way.”
