Kolkata, 14 March 2026: Dream run for the son of legendary Björn Borg, Leo Borg, ends in the hands of Australia’s Philip Sekulic at the ongoing Central Excise & CGST – ITF M25 Kolkata 2026, being held at the synthetic courts of the Bengal Tennis Association complex. Sekulic, ranked at 3 in the Men’s Singles draw, got the crucial break in the 6th game of the opening set as Borg made numerous errors that included a double fault to hand over a comfortable lead of 4-2 to the Australian. After sealing the opening set by 6-3, both Sekulic and Borg started the second set by dropping a serve each. At 4-4, both seeds engaged in a challenging mental battle as the game saw 12 thrilling points. Eventually, Sekulic secured the game and the match with a straight 6-3, 6-4 victory. Sekulic thereby sets up a summit clash against India’s Karan Singh, seeded second in the draw, who also played a 120-minute marathon to outclass. Sidharth Rawat had a long and contested score of 2-6, 6-4, and 7-5. In an all-Indian final of the Men’s Doubles event, the unseeded duo of Madhwin Kamath and Atharva Sharma clinched the title as they proved to be too strong for Kabir Hans and Maan Kesharwani, also unseeded, by a straight 6-4, 6-4. Matches will start at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow. MDS (1) MDD (1) OOP_15032026
