Kolkata, 13 March 2026 – East Bengal FC will return to the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan this Saturday (14 March) to host Kerala Blasters FC and return to winning ways in Indian Super League 2025-26. The match will commence at 5 PM.

East Bengal FC have had a mixed start to their ISL campaign. Following their dominant victories over NorthEast United FC (3-0) and SC Delhi (4-1) in their first two matches, the Red & Gold Brigade have encountered a minor setback, accumulating just one point from their last two fixtures. While they lost their third match 1-2 to Jamshedpur FC, Oscar Bruzon’s men eked out a 0-0 stalemate against FC Goa in their following fixture.

The Kolkata-based club, preparing to play its fifth consecutive home match this season, currently occupies the fifth spot in the table with 7 points from four matches (2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 defeat). That said, EBFC is the second-highest goal-scoring team (8 goals) in the league so far, with Spanish centre-forward Youssef Ezzejjari (4 goals) leading their roster, followed by Brazilian Miguel Figueira and Indian national team attacker Edmund Lalrindika (2 goals each).

Kerala Blasters FC, meanwhile, have endured a tough start to their league campaign, still in search of their first point in the current edition. David Catala’s men opened their ISL campaign with a 0-2 defeat to MB Super Giant, followed by losses against Mumbai City FC (0-1), Inter Kashi FC (1-2), and Chennaiyin FC (0-1). The Kochi-based club currently finds itself in the 13th position in the table.

Addressing the media at the pre-match press conference, EBFC Head Coach Oscar Bruzon said, ‘The game against Kerala Blasters is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our position near the top of the table.’ KBFC will be determined to react after a difficult start. With new signings in the squad, they will be a tough, wounded, and dangerous opponent. My team is working really well, and we are gradually recovering important players who will help raise our level in the coming weeks. We request our supporters to stay with us until the final minute, as they always do, and continue supporting the team’s growth this season.” EBFC player Edmund Lalrindika said, “I sustained an injury during my East Bengal debut in 2020. It was a derby against Mohun Bagan at the Salt Lake Stadium, and it was sheerly painful to see my first stint end like that. I have been a giant fan of this club; hence, I always wanted to prove my abilities in the red-and-gold colours. I am happy to make an impact in my second stint with East Bengal. ” The match can be streamed live on the FanCode app and will be broadcast live on television on the Sony Sports Ten 2 channel.
