28শে ডিসেম্বর মারাওয়ারি সংস্কৃত মঞ্চ আয়োজিত মরুধর মেলার মাধ্যমে কলকাতা রাজস্থানের সমৃদ্ধ সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্যের একটি প্রাণবন্ত উদযাপনের সাক্ষী হয়। বিকাশ পোদ্দার-এর নেতৃত্বে মেলাটি রাজস্থানের রঙ, শব্দ এবং ঐতিহ্যকে এক ছাদের নিচে নিয়ে আসে, যা শিল্প, সংস্কৃতি, খাবার এবং লোক পরিবেশনের মাধ্যমে একটি নিমজ্জনিত অভিজ্ঞতা প্রদান করে। সন্ধ্যার একটি প্রধান আকর্ষণ ছিল আই. আই. এম ব্যাঙ্গালোর এবং এন. এস. আর. সি. ই. এল মুম্বাই দ্বারা ইনকিউবেট করা একটি সৃজনশীল ও সাংস্কৃতিক প্ল্যাটফর্ম খুবি দ্বারা বিশেষভাবে সাজানো সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান। শ্রেষ্ঠা গাঙ্গুলির নেতৃত্বে, খুবি সাংস্কৃতিক গল্প বলা এবং সম্প্রদায়ের সম্পৃক্ততার ক্ষেত্রে তার সমসাময়িক কিন্তু গভীর শিকড়যুক্ত দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি প্রদর্শন করেছিল। চিন্তাশীলভাবে পরিকল্পিত প্রোগ্রামিংয়ের মাধ্যমে, খুবি ঐতিহ্যকে আধুনিক অভিব্যক্তির সঙ্গে যুক্ত করতে থাকে, বিভিন্ন দর্শকদের জন্য অর্থবহ সাংস্কৃতিক অভিজ্ঞতা তৈরি করে। সাংস্কৃতিক প্রদর্শনীতে প্রখ্যাত নৃত্যশিল্পী অবীরূপ সেনগুপ্ত এবং তাঁর দলের একটি বিশেষ পরিবেশনা ছিল, যারা একটি প্রাণবন্ত এবং খাঁটি রাজস্থানী লোকনৃত্য পরিবেশন করেছিলেন। তাদের অভিনয় রাজস্থানের লোক ঐতিহ্যের চেতনা, ছন্দ এবং গল্প বলার সারমর্মকে ধারণ করে, যা দর্শকদের মন্ত্রমুগ্ধ করে দেয়। একটি সত্যিকারের সাংস্কৃতিক সঙ্গম হিসাবে কল্পনা করা, মরুধর মেলা রাজস্থানী ঐতিহ্যের কালজয়ী সৌন্দর্য উদযাপন করে। খাঁটি রাজস্থানী রন্ধনশৈলী এবং ঐতিহ্যবাহী শিল্পকলা থেকে শুরু করে লোক অভিব্যক্তি এবং পরিবেশনা পর্যন্ত, মেলাটি সমস্ত বয়সের দর্শকদের জন্য একটি স্বাস্থ্যকর এবং নিমজ্জনিত অভিজ্ঞতা প্রদান করে। আনুমানিক 5,000 থেকে 7,000 জন অংশগ্রহণকারীর উপস্থিতি সহ, অনুষ্ঠানটি শহরের মরসুমের অন্যতম প্রত্যাশিত সাংস্কৃতিক সমাবেশ হিসাবে আবির্ভূত হয়েছিল। শুধুমাত্র একটি উৎসবের চেয়েও বেশি, মরুধর মেলা পরিচয়, সম্প্রদায় এবং ভাগ করা ঐতিহ্যের উদযাপন হিসাবে দাঁড়িয়েছিল। মারওয়াড়ি সংস্কৃত মঞ্চের নেতৃত্বে, বিকাশ পোদ্দার-এর দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি এবং শ্রেষ্ঠ গাঙ্গুলীর অধীনে খুবির সৃজনশীল পরিবেশনায় মেলাটি রঙ, সংস্কৃতি এবং সম্মিলিত আনন্দে ভরা একটি সন্ধ্যা পরিবেশন করে-যা রাজস্থানের আত্মাকে কলকাতার হৃদয়ে নিয়ে আসে।

Kolkata witnessed a vibrant celebration of Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage with Marudhar Mela, held on 28 December and organised by Marwari Sanskrit Manch. Headed by Vikash Poddar, the mela brought together the colours, sounds, and traditions of Rajasthan under one roof, offering an immersive experience through art, culture, food, and folk performances. A key highlight of the evening was the specially curated cultural programme by Kkhubii, a creative and cultural platform incubated by IIM Bangalore and NSRCEL Mumbai. Led by Shrestha Ganguly, Kkhubii showcased its contemporary yet deeply rooted approach to cultural storytelling and community engagement. Through its thoughtfully designed programming, Kkhubii continued to bridge heritage with modern expression, creating meaningful cultural experiences for a diverse audience. The cultural showcase featured a special performance by renowned dancer Avirup Sengupta and his troupe, who presented an energetic and authentic Rajasthani folk dance performance. Their act captured the spirit, rhythm, and storytelling essence of Rajasthan’s folk traditions, leaving the audience mesmerised. Envisioned as a true cultural confluence, Marudhar Mela celebrated the timeless beauty of Rajasthani traditions. From authentic Rajasthani cuisine and traditional art forms to folk expressions and performances, the mela offered a wholesome and immersive experience for visitors of all ages. With an estimated footfall of 5,000 to 7,000 attendees, the event emerged as one of the most anticipated cultural gatherings of the season in the city. More than just a festival, Marudhar Mela stood as a celebration of identity, community, and shared heritage. Under the leadership of Marwari Sanskrit Manch, the vision of Vikash Poddar, and the creative curation by Kkhubii under Shrestha Ganguly, the mela delivered an evening filled with colour, culture, and collective joy—bringing the soul of Rajasthan to the heart of Kolkata.
