কলকাতা, ১২ মার্চ, ২০২৬: দেশের অন্যতম প্রতিষ্ঠিত কিডনি সেবা প্রতিষ্ঠান নেফ্রোকেয়ার ইন্ডিয়ার সহযোগিতায় কিডনি কেয়ার সোসাইটি, কিডনি স্বাস্থ্য এবং দীর্ঘস্থায়ী কিডনি রোগ প্রতিরোধ সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার লক্ষ্যে একটি বৈজ্ঞানিক সিম্পোজিয়াম আয়োজন করে বিশ্ব কিডনি দিবস ২০২৬ উদযাপন করল। আজ কলকাতার দ্য স্ট্যাডেলে এই অনুষ্ঠানটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বিশ্ব কিডনি দিবসের প্রতিপাদ্যের সাথে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ “সকলের জন্য কিডনি স্বাস্থ্য – মানুষের যত্ন নেওয়া, গ্রহকে রক্ষা করা” শীর্ষক এই অনুষ্ঠানটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সিম্পোজিয়ামটির লক্ষ্য ছিল জনসাধারণ এবং স্বাস্থ্যসেবা পেশাদার উভয় ক্ষেত্রকেই কিডনি রোগের প্রাথমিক রোগ নির্ণয়, প্রতিরোধ এবং সামগ্রিক ব্যবস্থাপনা সম্পর্কে শিক্ষিত করা। এই অনুষ্ঠানে শীর্ষস্তরের নেফ্রোলজিস্ট এবং স্বাস্থ্যসেবা বিশেষজ্ঞরা একত্রিত হয়েছিলেন যাঁরা কিডনি স্বাস্থ্যের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিকগুলি নিয়ে আলোচনা করেছিলেন, যার মধ্যে রয়েছে ক্রিয়েটিনিনের মাত্রা পরিচালনা, ডায়ালিসিস বিলম্বিত করা, সিকেডি যত্ন পুনর্নির্ধারণ এবং কিডনির কার্যকারিতা উন্নত করার জন্য জীবনযাত্রার সঠিক পরিচালনা।
অনুষ্ঠানটি শুরু হয় উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠান এবং প্রদীপ প্রজ্জ্বলনের মাধ্যমে, এরপর বিখ্যাত নেফ্রোলজিস্ট ডঃ প্রতিম সেনগুপ্তের উদ্বোধনী ভাষণ প্রদান করেন। অধিবেশনে প্রধান অতিথি অধ্যাপক দিলীপ বৈদ্যও উপস্থিত ছিলেন, যিনি সমাবেশে বক্তব্য রাখেন। অধিবেশনগুলিতে ডঃ প্রতিম সেনগুপ্ত, ডঃ তথাগত মুখার্জি, ডঃ সৌরভ সাধুখান, ডঃ প্রভাব বানসালি এবং শ্রী শুভব্রত ভট্টাচার্য সহ বিশিষ্ট বিশেষজ্ঞরা বক্তব্য রাখেন। নেফ্রোকেয়ারের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও পরিচালক নেফ্রোলজিস্ট ডঃ প্রতিম সেনগুপ্ত মিডিয়ার সাথে কথা বলতে গিয়ে বলেন, “কিডনির স্বাস্থ্য সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কারণ কিডনি রোগকে প্রায়শই নীরব ঘাতক বলা হয়। প্রাথমিক রোগ নির্ণয় এবং প্রতিরোধমূলক যত্ন দীর্ঘস্থায়ী কিডনি রোগের চাপ উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে কমাতে পারে। নিয়মিত কিডনি ফাংশন পরীক্ষা যেমন সিরাম ক্রিয়েটিনিন, রক্তের ইউরিয়া নাইট্রোজেন এবং গ্লোমেরুলার পরিস্রাবণ হার কিডনি সমস্যাগুলি প্রাথমিক পর্যায়ে সনাক্ত করতে এবং সময়মত চিকিৎসার সুযোগ করে দিতে পারে।”

Kidney Care Society, in association with Nephrocare India, observed World Kidney Day 2026 with a Scientific Symposium to Promote Kidney Health Awareness.
Kolkata, 12th March 2026: The Kidney Care Society, in association with Nephrocare India, one of the most esteemed kidney care institutions in the country, observed World Kidney Day 2026 by organizing a Scientific Symposium aimed at spreading awareness about kidney health and the prevention of chronic kidney disease. The event was held today at The Stadel, Kolkata. The program aligned with the global World Kidney Day theme “Kidney Health for All – Caring for People, Protecting the Planet.” The symposium aimed to educate both the public and healthcare professionals about early diagnosis, prevention, and holistic management of kidney diseases. The event brought together leading nephrologists and healthcare experts who discussed important aspects of kidney health, including managing creatinine levels, delaying dialysis, redefining CKD care, and lifestyle interventions to improve kidney function.
The program began with an Inauguration Ceremony and Lamp Lighting, followed by the inaugural address by renowned nephrologist Dr. Pratim Sengupta. The session was also graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dilip Baidya, who addressed the gathering. The sessions were delivered by eminent specialists, including Dr. Pratim Sengupta, Dr. Tathagata Mukherjee, Dr. Sourav Sadhukhan, Dr. Prabhav Bansali, and Mr. Subhabrata Bhattacharjee. Speaking to the media, Nephrologist, Dr. Pratim Sengupta, Founder & Director of Nephrocare, said, “Raising awareness about kidney health is extremely important as kidney disease is often called a silent killer.
