নভেম্বর বিপ্লব স্মরণে কলকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের(কলেজ স্ট্রিট) ছাত্রগোষ্ঠী তৈরী করেছিলেন ‘সংগ্রামী বইপত্র’র মঞ্চ। সেখানে বই-এর বাহার আরও রঙিন করতে ছিলো গান, ডিবেট, কুইজ ইত্যাদি। ছাত্রছাত্রীদের এই আনন্দমেলা শুরু হয় ১০ তারিখ। ‘শুধু তোমাকেই ভালোবেসে কালেক্টিভ'(এস টি বি কালেকটিভ) তাদের প্রেমের গানের পসরা নিয়ে হাজির ছিলো ১৪-এর সন্ধ্যায়(শেষ দিন)। কলেজস্ট্রিটে বইয়ের গন্ধের সাথে মেশা ভালোবাসার সুরে গলা মেলালেন পথ চলতি মানুষ। সুধাবর্ষী, অর্ঘ্য, প্রীতম, ঋতবান ও নীলাঞ্জনের দল গানে ছুঁইয়ে দিলো দিনবদলের রঙ। ব্যান্ডের সদস্য নীলাঞ্জন ঘোষাল জানান, “শিলাজিৎ বলেছিলেন-প্রেম ছাড়া কি দিনবদলের গান শোনানো যায়! আমি, আমরা বিশ্বাস করি এ’কথা। আগামীতে প্রচন্ড ঘৃণার সামনে আমাদের ভালোবাসা নিয়েই দাঁড়াতে হবে। প্রেম নিয়েই দাঁড়াতে হবে, বোকার মত। সাইনিং অফ উইথ- বোকারা স্বপ্ন দেখে পৃথিবীটা সাজাবার, এই মুহূর্তে।”
Recalling the November revolution, the Calcutta University (College Street campus) student body built the stage for chronicles of revolt (sangrami boipotro). Joining the quiet rebellion of the books were instances of song, debate, quizzes, and much more. This festive call was made on the 10th. ‘Shudhu Tomakei Bhalobese Collective’ (STB collective) showed up, in song and spirit, with their lyrics on love on the chilly evening of the 14th (the last day). Streetgoers joined in the echoes of love within the bookish scent of College Street. Sudhaborshy, Arghya, Pritam, Ritaban, and Nilanjan wove a whisper of revolution into their songs. Band member Nilanjan Ghosal says, quoting Silajit Majumder, “Prem chhara ki dinbodoler gaan shonano jaye” (What song of change exists without love?) We believe in that. This future of hate can be resisted with nothing but love – we’ll be standing before it, in and with love, like the idiots we are.
The shining of youth – the foolish lovers who dream of change, caught up in the present.”
