Catch a Wild Ride with Radio Ghaint – A Hilarious, Genre-Bending Comedy

Kolkata, June 2025: Reborn India Film, in its continued celebration of bold, boundary-pushing cinema, proudly presents Radio Ghaint—a delightful and uproarious comedy feature directed by award-winning filmmaker Indrajit Nattoji. The film is set to screen on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Cinepolis, Acropolis Mall, Kolkata, from 7:00 PM onwards. Featuring the ever-charming Saumya Tandon in a leading role, Radio Ghaint promises a wildly entertaining ride filled with humour, chaos, and heart. Set in the fictional small town of Luvdhiana, Radio Ghaint follows a struggling radio station on the verge of shutdown. A desperate attempt to revive it with a last-minute live radio drama leads to complete mayhem when the cast—including a romance novelist, a beatboxing security guard, and a self-styled Bollywood diva named Amrita—take over the plot live on air. Played with brilliant comic timing by Saumya Tandon, Amrita’s off-script improvisation throws the drama into a whirlwind of aliens, spies, and unexpected twists. Beneath the laughs lies the poignant story of a woman reclaiming her identity and voice.

Tandon, known for her iconic roles in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! and Jab We Met, delivers a lively and layered performance that grounds the film’s wacky tone in emotional resonance. “It’s a story about chaos, but also courage,” says director Indrajit Nattoji. “While the film parodies our obsession with stardom and spectacle, it’s really about a woman stepping out of the shadows to become her storyteller.” Radio Ghaint is part of the Ladies First anthology, a curated selection of 50-minute, women-led stories. The film was shot in a Baroda studio, with cityscapes from Amritsar captured entirely on an iPhone. Its stylised slapstick sound design pays homage to the golden age of Bollywood comedy.
