বর্ধমান/কলকাতা, ২০ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৬: কোল ইন্ডিয়া লিমিটেডের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত সিআইএল কাপের বর্ধমান মহিলা ফাইনালে আরাউর হাউরগুড়ি একাদশ ১-০ গোলে গলসি এলএসবিকে হারিয়ে চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়েছে এবং জোনাল পর্বে জায়গা করে নিয়েছে। ফাইনালে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকার জন্য ম্যাচের সেরা খেলোয়াড় নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন নাসিমুন খাতুন। বর্ধমানের মহিলা বিভাগের আটটি দলের প্রতিযোগিতা থেকে উঠে আসা দুই দল ফাইনালে মুখোমুখি হয়। জোনাল পর্বে জায়গা করে নেওয়ার লক্ষ্যেও হওয়া এই লড়াইয়ে আরাউর হাউরগুড়ি একাদশ নিয়ন্ত্রিত ফুটবল উপহার দিয়ে ১-০ ব্যবধানে জয় তুলে নেয়। ফলে স্থানীয় পর্বের শিরোপা জয়ের পাশাপাশি পরবর্তী ধাপে যাওয়ার যোগ্যতাও অর্জন করে তারা।

Bardhaman/Kolkata, September 20, 2026: Araur Hoaurguri Akadash emerged winners of the Bardhaman women’s final of the CIL Cup, an initiative of Coal India Limited, defeating Galsi LSB 1-0 to secure qualification for the zonal stage. Nasimun Khatun was named Player of the Match following her performance in the final. The Bardhaman women’s final brought together the two teams that had progressed through an eight-team local competition, with a place in the zonal stage also at stake. Araur Hoaurguri Akadash produced a disciplined performance to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over Galsi LSB and finish as champions.
The result marks an important step forward for Araur Hoaurguri Akadash, who will now carry their campaign into the zonal stage. Nasimun Khatun was recognised as the Player of the Match for her contribution to the winning performance, while Galsi LSB finished as runners-up after a closely fought final. The CIL Cup is providing teams from different parts of West Bengal with a structured route from local competition to the zonal stage. As part of Coal India Limited’s grassroots football initiative, the tournament is creating opportunities for players to gain competitive experience, represent their local centres and progress through successive stages. Eight teams took part in the Bardhaman women’s competition, highlighting the participation being generated at the grassroots level. With Araur Hoaurguri Akadash now qualified for the zonal stage, the team will have the opportunity to compete against qualifiers from other locations. Through the CIL Cup, Coal India Limited is also supporting a wider pathway for identifying and developing emerging football talent across the state.
