Students receive expert guidance on higher education opportunities, emerging disciplines and future careers

Kolkata, July 3, 2026: The Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal (APAI-WB) organized the APAI-WB Pre-Counselling & Education Fair 2026 in Kolkata, bringing together students, parents, educators, and policymakers on a common platform to help aspiring students make informed decisions about higher education and future careers.

Designed to support students preparing for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the fair offered expert guidance on a wide spectrum of professional courses, including engineering, technology, pharmacy, management, architecture, computer applications, hospitality management, and other industry-relevant disciplines. Students and parents had the opportunity to interact directly with academic experts and representatives from leading institutions affiliated with APAI-WB, gaining valuable insights into admission processes, scholarship opportunities, career pathways, and emerging industry trends.
As the apex body representing self-financed professional academic institutions in West Bengal, APAI-WB continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening the state’s higher education ecosystem. Its member institutions provide quality education, industry-aligned curricula, innovation-driven learning, research opportunities, and robust placement support across diverse disciplines. Addressing the gathering, Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Education and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India, said, “To realize the vision of Viksit Bharat, India’s schools, colleges, and universities must become globally competitive.
