মালদহে স্ত্রী খুনের ঘটনায় মূল অভিযুক্ত গ্রেফতার

মালদা- মালদহে স্ত্রী খুনের ঘটনায় মূল অভিযুক্ত স্বামী বরুন মন্ডলকে চলতি মাসের ১৬ তারিখ গ্রেফতার করে ইংরেজ বাজার থানার পুলিশ। এরপরে অভিযুক্তকে মালদা জেলা আদালতে পেশ করে ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেন ইংরেজ বাজার থানার পুলিশ। উল্লেখ্য, চলতি মাসের ১৩ তারিখে ইংরেজ বাজার ব্লকের যদুপুর এলাকায় গৃহবধু রিঙ্কি শীল মণ্ডল খুন হয়ে যাওয়ার ঘটনায় রীতিমতো চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়ে ছিল এলাকা জুড়ে। তবে জানা গিয়েছিল এই খুনের নেপথে রয়েছে নিজের স্বামী।

পাশাপাশি জানা গিয়েছিল, শ্বশুর বাড়ি থেকে টোটো কেনার জন্য ২ লক্ষ টাকা দাবি করে অভিযুক্ত স্বামী বরুণ মন্ডল তবে সঠিক সময় দিতে না পারায়। নিজের স্ত্রীকে মাঝেমধ্যেই শারীরিক ও মানসিক নির্যাতন করতে বলে অভিযোগ। এরপরেই সেই অত্যাচারের মাত্রা চরম পর্যায়ে পৌঁছে গেলে। রাতে ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে খুন করে বলে অভিযোগ। এরপরে অভিযুক্ত সহ পরিবারের সদস্যরা সেখান থেকে অনত্র পালিয়ে যায়। যদিও ঘটনার একদিন পর অভিযুক্ত স্বামী বরুন মন্ডলকে গাজোল এলাকা থেকে গ্রেফতার করে ইংরেজ বাজার থানার পুলিশ। জেলা আদালতে পেশ করে ঘটনা তদন্ত শুরু করেন ইংরেজ বাজার থানার পুলিশ।  এদিকে বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে অভিযুক্ত বরুণ মন্ডলকে নিয়ে ইংরেজ বাজার থানার পুলিশ ঘটনার পুর্ননির্মাণ করতে যান। তবে অভিযুক্ত যে বাড়িতে ভাড়া থাকতো অর্থাৎ যদুপুরের গাবগাছি এলাকায় সেখানে পুলিশ গিয়ে ঘটনার পুনঃনির্মাণ করেন অভিযুক্ত বরুন মন্ডলকে নিয়ে।

Barun Mondal, the main accused in the murder of his wife in Malda-Malda, was arrested by the English Bazar police on The 16th of this month. Later, the accused was produced before the Malda district court and the English Bazar police started investigating the matter. It is to be noted that on The 13th of this month, there was a stir in the area after the murder of housewife Rinki Shil Mandal in Jadupur area of English Bazar block. However, it was known that her husband was behind the murder.  It was also learnt that the accused husband Varun Mandal had demanded Rs 2 lakh to buy a toto from his father-in-law’s house, but could not give the right time. He is accused of torturing his wife physically and mentally. After that, the level of torture reached its peak. He was allegedly murdered with a sharp weapon at night. However, a day after the incident, the accused husband Barun Mondal was arrested from Gajol area by the English Bazar police. The English Bazar police station started investigating the matter by presenting it to the district court.  Meanwhile, on Thursday afternoon, the police of English Bazar Police Station went to reconstruct the incident with the accused Barun Mandal. However, the police went to the house where the accused lived on rent, i.e. in Gabgachi area of Jadu, and reconstructed the incident with the accused Barun Mondal.
