সুমিত ঘোষ,মালদা: নেশা করার টাকা চেয়ে না পাওয়ায় বাবা মা এবং বৌদিকে চাকু মেরে নিজেও আত্মহত্যার চেষ্টা এক যুবকের। ঘটনায় বৌদির মৃত্যু হলেও বাকি তিনজন আশঙ্কা জনক অবস্থায় মালদা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন। রবিবার গভীর রাত্রে ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে ইংলিশ বাজার থানার মহদিপুরের লিচু পাড়া এলাকায়। জানা গেছে মৃতের নাম নাজিমা খাতুন। আহতরা হল ইসরাইল শেখ, তার বাবা সিলু সেখ এবং মা মুজলেফা বিবি। জানা যায় গতকাল রাত্রে হঠাৎই ইসরাইল শেখ তার বাবা-মা এবং বৌদিকে চাকু মেরে খুন করার চেষ্টা করে। এরপর নিজেও নিজের পেটে চাকু মারে ওই যুবক। ঘটনায় চারজনকে উদ্ধার করে মালদা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসা হয়। কিন্তু চিকিৎসকরা নাজিমা খাতুন নামে ওই মহিলাকে মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করে।

Sumit Ghosh, Malda: A young man tried to commit suicide by stabbing his parents and mother-in-law as he could not get money for drugs. Boudi died in the incident but the other three are under treatment at Malda Medical College Hospital in critical condition. The incident took place late on Sunday night in Lichu Para area of Mahdipur under English Bazar police station. It is known that the deceased’s name is Nazima Khatun. The injured are Israel Sheikh, his father Silu Sheikh and mother Muzalefa Bibi. It is known that last night suddenly Israel Sheikh tried to kill his parents and daughter-in-law by stabbing him. Then the young man stabbed himself in the stomach. Four people were rescued in the incident and brought to Malda Medical College Hospital. But doctors declared the woman, Nazima Khatun, dead.
