১৮ ই মে, ২০২৪, কলকাতা: মেডিকা সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটাল, পূর্ব ভারতের সবচেয়ে বড় প্রাইভেট হসপিটাল চেন, পালন করল আন্তর্জাতিক নার্স দিবস আজ একটি বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে। এলিজাবেথ লি, ডিরেক্টর, আমেরিকান সেন্টার এবং প্রধান অতিথি, এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এবং তার বক্তব্যে নার্সদের তাদের অসামান্য প্রয়াসের জন্য ধন্যবাদ দেন। এই বিশেষ উদযাপনে তুলে ধরা হয় স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা প্রদানের ভবিষ্যতের দিকে নার্সদের অবদানের কথা। হসপিটালের নার্সদের সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের পর হসপিটাল ম্যানেজমেন্টের তরফ থেকে সম্মান জানানো হয় তাদের রোগীর প্রতি নিরবিচ্ছিন্ন ভাবে পরিষেবা প্রদানের জন্য। আন্তর্জাতিক নার্স দিবস প্রতি বছর পালন করা হয় ১২ই মে, যা ফ্লোরেন্স নাইটিঙ্গেলের জন্মবার্ষিকী, নার্সদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি জানিয়ে এবং তাদের মহৎ ভূমিকাকে কুর্নিশ জানিয়ে এই উদযাপন। এই বিশেষ উদযাপন স্বীকৃতি দেয় তাদের দায়িত্বজ্ঞান, মমত্ববোধ এবং দক্ষতা উচ্চ মানের স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা প্রদানের ক্ষেত্রে। এই বছরের থিম হল ‘আমাদের নার্স, আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ, পরিষেবার অর্থনীতিক ক্ষমতা’
এই বিশেষ দিন উদযাপনে আর উদয়ন লাহিড়ী, ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর, মেডিকা গ্রুপ অফ হসপিটাল, বলেন,” নার্সরা স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবার হৃদয় জুড়ে আছেন। এই প্রসঙ্গে প্রবাদ রয়েছে, আপনি যদি একজনের প্রাণ বাঁচান, তাহলে আপনি নায়ক। যে একশো জনের প্রাণ বাঁচায়, সে হল নার্স। এনারা হচ্ছেন তারাই, যারা অনেক সময় নায়কের মর্যাদা পান না, কিন্তু দায়িত্ব আর মমত্ববোধের সাথে রোগীদের স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা প্রদান করে থাকেন। বছরে এই একটা দিন আমরা সুযোগ পাই এই অসামান্য মানুষদের কুর্নিশ জানানোর জন্য যারা সারা বছর কাজ করে চলেন আমাদের প্রিয়জনদের জন্য। নার্সরা আমাদের স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবার মূল কান্ডারী। তারা হাসি মুখে ও দৃঢ়তার সাথে তাদের দক্ষতা, কষ্ট সহিষ্ণুতা নিয়ে রোগীদের চিকিৎসা পরিষেবায় যুক্ত থাকেন। তাদের কঠোর পরিশ্রম ও কাজের প্রতি দায়িত্ববোধের জন্য আমাদের হসপিটাল চালনা করা সম্ভব হয়ে ওঠে।নার্সিং শুধুমাত্র একটি জীবিকা নয়, এটি একটি ডাক যার মাধ্যমে সমাজের মধ্যে ফারাক তৈরি করে নার্সরা। সমাজের এই ক্ষেত্রে বোঝার দরকার যে তাদের প্রিয়জনের জন্য তাদের এই প্রাণান্তকর প্রচেষ্টা। এই জীবিকার আর বেশি সম্মান প্রাপ্তির প্রয়োজন রয়েছে এবং কমবয়সীদের মধ্যে এই জীবিকা নির্বাহ করার ক্ষেত্রে আরো আগ্রহের সঞ্চার হওয়ার প্রয়োজন।”
অয়নাভ দেবগুপ্ত, জয়েন্ট ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর, মেডিকা গ্রুপ অফ হসপিটাল, বলেন,” দরকারি ওষুধ পথ্য দেওয়া থেকে শুরু করে ইমোশনাল সাপোর্ট, কোন রোগীর সেরে ওঠার ক্ষেত্রে নার্সরা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে থাকেন। নার্সরা স্রেফ কেয়ার গিভার নন। তারা বিভিন্ন সময়ে অ্যাডভোকেট, এডুকেটর আর অনেক সময় চিয়ারলিডার। তারা প্রশ্নের উত্তর দেন, চিন্তা দুশ্চিন্তা দূর করেন এবং তাদের সব সময় মানুষের সাথে সংস্পর্শে থাকে, যা কোন রোগীর সেরে ওঠার ক্ষেত্রে ফারাক করে দেয়। আমরা এই সুযোগে কৃতজ্ঞতা জানাতে চাই নার্সদের যারা তাদের জীবনের সমস্ত সমস্যা ও প্রতিকূলতার মধ্যে আমাদের জীবন ছুঁয়ে গেছেন। আজকের এই বিশেষ দিনের এই বছরের থিম হল ‘আমাদের নার্স, আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ, পরিষেবার অর্থনীতিক ক্ষমতা’ তুলে ধরে সেই বিশেষ দিক যেভাবে নার্সরা সারা পৃথিবী জুড়ে স্বাস্থ্য ও অর্থনৈতিক স্থিরতার উপর প্রভাব ফেলে থাকেন। প্রারম্ভিক দিকের অ্যাসেসমেন্ট এবং চিকিৎসা পরিষেবার বিভিন্ন মডেল থেকে সুপারভিশন তথা তদারকি, রিসার্চ এবং মূল্যায়ন – যে কোন রোগীর অভিজ্ঞতার ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিটি স্তরে সার্বিক দক্ষীরা এবং ফলাফলের ক্ষেত্রে নার্সরা প্রয়োজনীয় ভূমিকা নিয়ে থাকেন। নার্সিং কলেজের সংখ্যা বেড়ে যাওয়া এবং বিশেষ ট্রেনিং কোর্স তাদের স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়িত হয়ে ওঠার ক্ষেত্রে কার্যকরী ভূমিকা নিয়েছে।”
