নবদ্বীপে রাস উৎসবে শোভাযাত্রা সহকারে নবমী করা যাবে না

নবদ্বীপ রিপোর্ট – নবদ্বীপে রাস উৎসবে শোভাযাত্রা সহকারে নবমী করা যাবে না, গত কয়েক দিন আগেই নবদ্বীপ থানার উদ্যোগে রাস উৎসব নিয়ে সমন্বয় সভা করে প্রশাসনের এটাই নির্দেশ বলে জানানো হয়। উল্লেখ্য গত দু’ বছর করোনা কারণে পুজোতে বেশ কিছু বিধি নিষেধ থাকার কারনে নবমী ও শোভা যাত্রা বা আরং বন্ধ ছিল। এবছর সমন্বয় সভায় প্রশাসন জানায় নবমীতে বাদ্যযন্ত্র,  ও শোভাযাত্রা সহকারে করা যাবে না। যারা নবমী করতে চায় পুজো কমিটির সর্বোচ্চ ৫ জন সদস্য / সদস্যা একটি ঢাক নিয়ে করতে পারবে নির্দিষ্ঠ সময়ের মধ্যে শেষ করতে হবে। সম্প্রতি সোস্যাল মিডিয়ায় নবদ্বীপের এই নবমী একটি ঐতিহ্য,  তা প্রশাসন বন্ধ করে দিচ্ছে,  এই মর্মে বেশ কিছু পোস্ট হয়, এবং আজ সন্ধ্যায় এই ঐতিহ্যের নবমী স্বমহিমায় করার দাবীতে  নবদ্বীপ শহরের প্রাণকেন্দ্র পোড়ামাতলায়  বিক্ষোভ দেখানোর কর্মসূচী নেয়। এদিন বিকেল থেকে শহরের প্রাণকেন্দ্র পোড়ামাতলায় পুলিশ প্রশাসনের তরফ থেকে মোতায়েন করা হয় বিশাল পুলিশ বাহিনী। বিক্ষোভ কারীরা পোড়ামাতলয় আসতেই পুলিশ তাদের ধাওয়া করে ছত্র ভঙ্গ করে। বেশ কিছু সময় পর পুনরায় বিক্ষোভ কারীরা একযোট হয়ে মিছিল করে নবদ্বীপ থানার সামনে গিয়ে বিক্ষোভ করে ও থানার গেটে বসে পরে, কিছু সময় যেতেই নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ প্রশাসন, সিভিক সহ লাঠি চার্য করে, ও ধাওয়া করে ছত্র ভঙ্গ করে। সামগ্রিক ঘটনায় বেশ কিছু যুবককে আটক করে পুলিশ। পরে নবদ্বীপ থানার তরফে নবদ্বীপ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত আধিকারিক সাংবাদিক দের মুখোমুখি হয়ে জানায় কারা এই ঘটনার সাথে জরিত তদন্ত করে জানা যাবে,  পাশাপাশি পুলিশ প্রশাসনের লাঠিচার্জ বিষয়ে সম্পুর্ন রূপে অস্বীকার করে। সামগ্রিক ঘটনায় তীব্র চাঞ্চল্য ছড়ায় এলাকায়।

A huge police force has been deployed by the police administration in the heart of the city since this afternoon. As soon as the protesters came to Poramatala, the police chased them and broke the umbrella. After some time, the protesters again marched in front of the Nabadwip police station and protested and sat at the gate of the police station. Police arrested several youths in connection with the incident. Later, on behalf of The Nabadwip Police Station, the officer-in-charge of The Nabadwip Police Station confronted the journalists and said that who would be investigated in connection with the incident and completely denied the lathi-charge of the police administration. The overall incident caused a stir in the area.
