New Delhi, 27 March 2026: As part of its 132nd Foundation Day celebrations, Punjab National Bank (PNB), the nation’s leading public sector bank, is set to host PNB Soldierathon Delhi 2026 on Sunday, 5 April 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. In a first-of-its-kind initiative to ensure ease of access for participants, special early morning metro services will operate from 3:00 AM at 30-minute intervals until the commencement of the regular schedule on the Yellow, Blue, and Violet Lines. This will enable runners and attendees to conveniently reach the venue ahead of the 5:00 AM flag-off. Additionally, participants wearing their bibs will be eligible for one-time to-and-fro complimentary travel.
The 2nd edition of the PNB Half-Marathon, themed “PNB Soldierathon 2026 – Run With Soldiers, Run For Soldiers”, is a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of India’s Armed Forces. The event aims to bring together citizens, fitness enthusiasts, and members of the defence community in a collective expression of gratitude and solidarity. The marathon will feature multiple race categories, including 21.1K (Half Marathon), 10K, and 5K runs, encouraging participation across age groups and fitness levels while fostering a spirit of unity, resilience, and national pride. Speaking about the initiative, Shri Deepak Kumar, GM, PR & CCD, PNB, said, “PNB Soldierathon 2026 is not just a run; it is a movement that reinforces the bank’s enduring commitment to nation-building and community engagement. The presence of armed forces personnel will further elevate the significance of the event, making it a meaningful platform to honour those who serve the nation selflessly.”
