রাজেন্দ্র নাথ দত্ত :মুর্শিদাবাদ : বহরমপুর লোকসভা কেন্দ্রের কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী অধীর রঞ্জন চৌধুরী বেশ খোশ মেজাজেই ভোটের প্রচারে বেরিয়েছিলেন । পূর্বনির্ধারিত কর্মসূচি অনুযায়ী বহরমপুর পুর এলাকার গান্ধী কলোনি থেকে বিটি কলেজ মোড় পর্যন্ত জনসংযোগ করার সময় এল ‘বাধা’। আচমকাই ‘ছন্দপতন’। পাঁচ বারের সাংসদকে ঘিরে উঠল ‘গো ব্যাক’ আওয়াজ। তাতে মেজাজ হারিয়ে এক জনকে চড় কষানোর অভিযোগ উঠল কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী অধীর রঞ্জন চৌধুরীর বিরুদ্ধে। যদিও তিনি সেই অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করেছেন। পাশাপাশি স্বভাবসিদ্ধ ভঙ্গিতে প্রদেশ কংগ্রেস সভাপতি অধীর রঞ্জন চৌধুরী বলেন, ‘‘তৃণমূলের চুল্লুখোরেরা আমায় ‘ডিস্টার্ব’ করছিল। প্রতিবাদ করেছি।’’ পাল্টা তৃণমূল কর্মীদের বিক্ষোভে উত্তপ্ত এলাকা।
শনিবার ভোটারদের সঙ্গে জনসংযোগ চলাকালীন স্থানীয় তৃণমূল কর্মীরা অধীরকে ঘিরে ‘গো ব্যাক’ আওয়াজ দিতে থাকেন। বিক্ষোভের জেরে আটকে যায় বহরমপুর লোকসভার কংগ্রেস প্রার্থীর গাড়ি। গাড়ি থেকে নেমে পড়েন অধীরবাবু । তৃণমূল কর্মীদের সঙ্গে বাগ্যুদ্ধে জড়িয়ে পড়েন তিনি। অভিযোগ, সেই সময় এক তৃণমূল কর্মীকে হুমকি দেন তিনি। তাঁকে ধাক্কা দেন। চড়ও মারেন। অন্য দিকে, গন্ডগোলের খবর পেয়ে কিছু ক্ষণের মধ্যে বিশাল পুলিশ বাহিনী পৌঁছে যায়। বিক্ষুব্ধদের ছত্রভঙ্গ করে কংগ্রেস প্রার্থীকে উদ্ধার করে তারা। ইতিমধ্যে এই ঘটনায় দু’জনকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ। তৃণমূলের অভিযোগ, জনভিত্তি হারিয়ে মেজাজ হারাচ্ছেন অধীর। তাঁকে ক্ষমা চাইতে হবে বলে দাবি তুলেছে শাসকদল। বিক্ষোভকারীদের মধ্যে বিকাশ সামন্ত নামে এক তৃণমূল কর্মীর দাবি, ‘‘অধীর চৌধুরী গাড়ি থেকে নেমে এসে এক জনের গায়ে হাত তোলেন। ওঁর কোনও অধিকার নেই এক জনের গায়ে হাত তোলার। ওঁকে ভুল স্বীকার করতে হবে।’’পাল্টা কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী অভিযোগ করেন, পরিকল্পনা করে তাঁর প্রচারে বাধা দিচ্ছে তৃণমূল। তিনি কটাক্ষের সুরে বিক্ষোভকারীদের ‘চুল্লুখোর’ বলে আক্রমণ করেন। ঘটনাস্থলে দাঁড়িয়েই তিনি জেলা পুলিশ সুপারকে ফোন করেন। জানান, বিষয়টি নির্বাচন কমিশনেরও নজরে আনবেন। অধীর বলেন, ‘‘তৃণমূল ওদের চুল্লুখোরদের দিয়ে আমার প্রচার আটকাবে, তা মানব কেন? নেশা করে ‘গো ব্যাক’ বলবে, প্রতিবাদ তো করবই। আর সেটাই করেছি। চার দিকে সিসিটিভি আছে, দেখলেই প্রমাণ পাবেন, আদৌ গায়ে হাত দিয়েছি কি না।’’এই গন্ডগোল নিয়ে বহরমপুর পুরসভার চেয়ারম্যান নাড়ুগোপাল মুখোপাধ্যায় বলেন, ‘‘গান্ধী কলোনির মতো জায়গায় যেখানে এক সময় অধীর চৌধুরীকে ‘মসিহা’ মনে করতেন মানুষজন, সেখানে আজ তিনি বিক্ষোভের মুখে। তাই অধীর চৌধুরীর জনভিত্তি শুধু তলানিতে নয়, মাটিতে মিশে গিয়েছে।’’
