কলকাতা, ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৪: মহম্মদ আলি পার্কের যুব সমিতি তাদের ৫৬ তম দুর্গাপুজো উদযাপনের থিম ঘোষণা করেছে, যা এই বছর হোয়াইট হাউস, মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের রাষ্ট্রপতির আইকনিক বাসভবন এবং কর্মক্ষেত্র দ্বারা অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে নির্মিত হবে। মধ্য কলকাতার সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় এই দুর্গাপুজোকে শহরের দুর্গা পূজার অন্যতম প্রাচীন এবং বিখ্যাত স্থান হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়। তারা এ বছর দুর্গাপুজো উদযাপনের ৫৬ বছর পূর্ণ করবে। এই বছরের প্রতিমা, বিখ্যাত শিল্পী কুশ বেরা দ্বারা নির্মিত, জল সংরক্ষণের থিমকে তুলে ধরবে৷ বাংলার ক্রমবর্ধমান জল সংকটের আলোকে, জলকে জীবন হিসাবে চিত্রিত করা, জল দূষণ এবং অপচয়ের বিরুদ্ধে সচেতনতা এবং পদক্ষেপের জরুরি প্রয়োজনের উপর জোর দেবে। পুজো কমিটি এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়ে জনসাধারণকে সচেতন করার জন্য প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ, পরিকল্পিত এই থিমগুলি ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের জন্য অর্থপূর্ণ বার্তা বহন করে।
গণমাধ্যমের সাথে কথা বলতে গিয়ে মিঃ সুরেন্দ্র কুমার শর্মা মহম্মদ আলি পার্ক দুর্গাপুজোর যুব সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক বলেন, “মেদিনীপুরের প্রতিভাবান কারিগর গোল দাসের তৈরি শৈল্পিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির সাথে, মণ্ডপে চমৎকার বাঙালি হস্তশিল্প প্রদর্শন করা হবে, যেখানে অসাধারন পাটের কাজ এবং হস্তনির্মিত সাজসজ্জা থাকবে যা উভয়ের চেতনাকে মূর্ত করে। এই বছরের প্রতিমা, বিখ্যাত শিল্পী কুশ বেরার দ্বারা নিপুণভাবে তৈরি করা, জল সংরক্ষণের উপর দৃষ্টি নিবদ্ধ করে যা সংস্কৃতির একটি শক্তিশালী বার্তা বহন করবে। বাংলার ক্রমবর্ধমান জল সংকট মোকাবিলার জরুরি প্রয়োজনকে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে জীবনের উৎস হিসেবে একটি অত্যাবশ্যক জলের প্রতিমার চিত্রায়ন, জল দূষণ এবং অপচয়ের বিরুদ্ধে সচেতনতা এবং পদক্ষেপের সমালোচনামূলক গুরুত্বের উপর জোর দেবে। পুজোকমিটি এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়গুলিতে জনসাধারণকে সচেতন করার জন্য নিবেদিত, এবং পুজোর উদযাপন ভবিষ্যত প্রজন্মের জন্য অর্থপূর্ণ বার্তার সাথে অনুরণিত হয়।”
মোঃ আলি পার্কের যুব সংঘ সম্পর্কে: মধ্য কলকাতার সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় দুর্গাপুজোগুলির মধ্যে এই পুজো অন্যতম বিখ্যাত। প্রত্যেককে পুজোটি অবশ্যই দেখতে হবে। কারন মহম্মদ আলি পার্কের দুর্গাপুজো প্রতি বছর মন্ডপের থিমের মাধ্যমে দুর্দান্ত স্থাপত্য প্রদর্শন করে। মহম্মদ আলি পার্ক দুর্গাপুজো সমিতি বিভিন্ন বিভাগে বেশ কয়েকটি পুরস্কার জিতেছে এবং তাই এটি কলকাতার অন্যতম মর্যাদাপূর্ণ দুর্গাপুজো হিসাবে বিবেচিত হয় যা ১৯৬৯ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত এবং যুব সমিতি দ্বারা আয়োজিত। এটি উত্তর ও মধ্য কলকাতার সবচেয়ে মর্যাদাপূর্ণ ক্লাবগুলির মধ্যে একটি।

The most popular Durga Puja in Central Kolkata is considered to be one of the oldest and renowned venues for Durga Puja in the city. They will be completing the 56th year of Durga Puja celebrations this year. This year’s idol, created by renowned artist Kush Bera, will highlight the critical theme of water conservation. In light of Bengal’s growing water crisis, the depiction of water as life emphasizes the urgent need for awareness and action against water pollution and wastage. The puja committee is committed to educating the public on these vital issues, ensuring that our celebrations carry meaningful messages for future generations.

Ali Park: One of the most popular Durga Pujas of Central Kolkata that one must visit is the Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja which is held every year and showcases magnificent architecture. The Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja Samity has won several awards in different categories and hence it is also considered as one of the prestigious Durga Puja in Kolkata which is organized by the Youth Association established in 1969.
