WBJHDF is firmly standing for the cause of justice for RGKar and has unanimously decided to unveil the chain of corruption in Homoeopathy which has been executed for the past 2years and so in the department of AYUSH, West Bengal as well as the West Bengal Health Recruitment Board. It was observed after the incident of Abhaya took place the entire medical fraternity as well as citizens of the state, India and abroad started demonstrations in demand of justice for the gruesome incident. In the background of that incident, it was found that the chain of corruption is prevailing in the health department which led to such a heart-wrenching incident and was avoidable if necessary steps were taken beforehand. In this connection, the Homoeopathic fraternity has
raised their voices to unveil the corruption chain that is executed within the government facilities and administration too. Corruption in Homoeopathy prevails in three tiers 1st AYUSH department, Directorate of Homoeopathy Swasthya Bhawan, 2nd West Bengal Health Recruitment Board, 3rd Council of Homoeopathy W.B. The DOH has issued various instructions like recommending names of experts for examinations of the recruitment process at WBHRB, Issued orders in favour of the corrupt person Dr. Shyamal kr Mukherjee. It was found that there is an understanding between Dr Mukherjee and Specl Secretary AYUSH Shyamal Ch Mondal to beam the light of corruption. Corruption within the department in the recruitment of state consultant NAM (Homoeopathy) of SPMU by selecting an unmerited candidate Dr. Souraj Ghosh dodging out the most deserving candidates ( Memo no- 336/HFW-29011/11/2021-AYSAMITY(P-V) dt-18/06/2024. Corruption at WBHRB under the chairmanship of Dr. Sudipto Ray, (1) Violation of WBHES recruitment rules 2015 for the advertisement of Lecturer advt. no.- RIHomoeopathic
Lecturer/21/1to12 (12) for Govt. Homoeopathic Medical Colleges, this recruitment is challenged in WBSAT case no. OA 156 2024, and is under hearing. (2) Recruitment of Homoeopathic Director, Adv. No. R/Director of Homoeopathy/11/2024, which violates The West Bengal Homoeopathic Health Services (Amendment) Act 2014. The selection of a candidate was made by WBHRB who seems to be junior in work experience and is eligible for the post. (3) The evaluation of documents is done only through one process, there is no verification at the time of the interview which raises questions of parity and allows unmerited candidates to appear for an interview in the dark.
Corruption at the level of the Council of Homoeopathic Medicine West Bengal seems to be deeper as the council has been working with an ad-hoc committee for the past 10 years and this is the 3rd time the recommendation was carried forward violated the Council of Homoeopathic Medicine, West Bengal Act XXXII 1963 section 8 while following section 15A. The corrupt system was built up by some people namely Dr. Shyamal kr. Mukherjee leads the entire team of his corrupt unit which includes some teaching faculties, Homoeopathic Medical officers and a few junior doctors who control the threat culture part at the college level. Dr. S.K. Mukherjee is a close aide of Dr Sudipto Roy and despite knowing that Dr Mukherjee was convicted by the state vigilance department with serious charges about the authenticity of his bachelor’s degree and was punished with a 30% pension cut for three years order no. 1019vHealth/18(s) dt- 18/08/2022. This entire chain of corruption has set aside the good works of the WB Government and has decreased the reliability towards the administration, which is hampering the entire system on a large scale. WBJHDF is demanding to identify those culprits, remove them from the decision-making state and rebuild a corrupt Homoeopathy system in West Bengal to return the Glory of Homoeopathy in India.
