চণ্ডীপুর: বাংলার অন্যতম লোকসংস্কৃতির ধারক ও বাহক পটচিত্র বিদেশের দূর্গা মণ্ডপ সজ্জায় ফুটে উঠবে। হংকংয়ে একটি দুর্গাপুজোর মণ্ডপ সজ্জিত হবে পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলার চণ্ডীপুর ব্লকের হবিচক গ্রামের পটশিল্পীদের শিল্পকলায়। পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের নয়াগ্রামের পাশাপাশি পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের জেলায় বেশ কয়েকটি অঞ্চলে চিত্রকরদের বাস। তাদের মধ্যে অন্যতম উল্লেখ্যযোগ্য হল চণ্ডীপুর ব্লকের হবিচক গ্রাম। এই গ্রাম পটচিত্রের জন্য বিখ্যাত। এখানকার চিত্রকরেরা জাতীয় ও রাজ্যস্তরে নানান পুরস্কারে পুরস্কৃত হয়েছে। এমনকি বিদেশের মাটিতেও বাংলার লোকসংস্কৃতির ধারক বাহক পটশিল্প এবং পটের গান পরিবেশন করেছে। এবার তাদের শিল্পকলা স্থান পাবে বিদেশের দুর্গা মণ্ডপ সজ্জার কাজে। প্রতিবছর দূর্গাপূজার সময় পটশিল্পী বা চিত্রকরদের ডাক পড়ে দূর্গা পুজোর মণ্ডপ সজ্জার কাজে। মূলত রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন জেলায় দূর্গাপূজার মণ্ডপ সজ্জার সঙ্গে যুক্ত থাকেন চণ্ডীপুরের এই এলাকার চিত্রকরা। তবে এবার রাজ্য ও দেশের গণ্ডি ছাড়িয়ে বিদেশের দূর্গাপুজোয় ফুটে উঠবে চিত্রকরদের পটশিল্প। সারা বছর পটআঁকা ও গানবাঁধার পাশাপাশি জলের বোতল থেকে ঘর সজ্জার নানান জিনিস এমনকি পোশাক আশাকেও পটশিল্প ফুটিয়ে তোলে নিজেদের রোজগারের তাগিদে কিংবা এই শিল্পকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে। সম্প্রতি কয়েক বছর এই পটশিল্পের চাহিদা বেড়েছে দুর্গাপুজোর মণ্ডপ সজ্জায়। শুধু জেলায় নয় রাজ্যে নয় এবার বিদেশেও পটশিল্পের কদর বাড়ছে। পটচিত্রের কদর বিদেশের পুজোর সাজে। দক্ষিণ চিন সাগরের উপকূলে হংকংয়ের বাঙালি অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের পুজোর মণ্ডপ এবার সেজে উঠবে পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরের চণ্ডীপুরের পটচিত্রে। পুজোর প্রস্তুতি ইতিমধ্যেই শুরু হয়ে গেছে। মণ্ডপ সজ্জা নিয়ে ভাবনা চিন্তা করতে গিয়ে তাঁদের মাথায় আসে বাংলার পটচিত্রের কথা। কাজের বরাত পেয়েছেন পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলার চণ্ডীপুর থানার হবিচক গ্রামের আবেদ চিত্রকর। তাঁর স্ত্রী সায়েরা চিত্রকর পটচিত্র ও পটের গান নিয়ে গতবার ইন্দোনেশিয়ার জাকার্তায় বিশ্ব লোকগীতির আসরে হাজির ছিলেন। স্বামীর সঙ্গে এই কাজে হাত লাগিয়েছেন তিনি। এ বিষয়ে আবেদ চিত্রকর জানান,প্রতিবছর পুজোর সময় পুজো মণ্ডপ সজ্জার জন্য ডাক বা বরাত আসে। এবার বিদেশের একটি পুজো মণ্ডপে কাজ করার সুযোগ মিলেছে। হাতে আঁকা পটশিল্প ফুটে উঠবে হংকং-এর বাঙালি অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের দুর্গাপুজোর মণ্ডপে। সেই কাজ চলছে।বর্তমানে দিনরাত এক করে ২০০ টি পাখা ও ১০০ টি কুলোর উপর সপরিবারে মা-দুর্গার পট আঁকছেন তাঁরা। দিন সাতেক আগে কাজের বরাত পেয়েছেন আবেদ। পাখা ও কুলো জাহাজে এসে নিয়ে যাবেন পুজো উদ্যোক্তারা। বাকি কাজও দ্রুত শেষ করতে হবে। তাই কাজের চাপে এখন দম ফেলার ফুরসৎ নেই চিত্রকর দম্পতির।

But this time beyond the borders of the state and the country, the pottery of painters will blossom in Durga Puja abroad. Throughout the year, in addition to pot painting and song making, various things from water bottles to home decorations and even clothes are made by pottery to earn their income or to keep this industry alive. In recent years, the demand for this pottery has increased for Durga Puja mandap decoration. Not only in the district but also in the state, the value of pottery is increasing abroad. The value of Patachitra is a foreign puja dress. On the coast of the South China Sea, the pooja pavilion of the Hong Kong Bengali Association will now be decorated in Patchitra of Chandipur in East Midnapore. Preparations for the puja have already started. While thinking about the decoration of the mandap, they came to their mind about the paintings of Bengal. Abed Chitrakar of Habichak village of Chandipur police station of East Medinipur district has received the work permit. His wife Saira Chitrakar was present at the World Folk Song Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia last time with Patchitra and Pot songs. She is involved in this work with her husband. In this regard, Abed Chitrakar said that every year during the puja, calls or barats come for the decoration of the puja mandap. This time I got an opportunity to work in a pooja mandap abroad. Hand-painted pottery will be on display at the Durga Puja pavilion of the Bengali Association of Hong Kong. That work is in progress.’ Currently, they are painting Maa-Durga pots day and night on 200 fans and 100 kulos. Abed received the work permit seven days ago. Fans and Kulo will be brought to the ship by the puja organizers. The rest of the work should also be completed quickly. So now the painter couple has no time to suffocate under the pressure of work.
