Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!লাললিয়ানপুই এক দশকেরও বেশি আগে ক্রনিক কিডনি রোগে আক্রান্ত হন এবং ২০১২ সালে প্রথম কিডনি প্রতিস্থাপন করান। পরে গ্রাফট রিজেকশন হওয়ায় ২০২০ সালে তাঁকে দ্বিতীয়বার প্রতিস্থাপন করতে হয়। আজীবন ইমিউনোস্যাপ্রেসিভ ওষুধ খেতে হলেও, শারীরিক ও মানসিক চ্যালেঞ্জকে জয় করে তিনি দু’বারই স্বাভাবিকভাবে গর্ভধারণ করতে সক্ষম হন — যা অত্যন্ত বিরল ও চিকিৎসাবিজ্ঞানের দৃষ্টিতে অনন্য। ২০২৩ সালে তাঁর প্রথম গর্ভাবস্থায় তিনি এক সুস্থ কন্যাসন্তানের জন্ম দেন। এর দুই বছর পর, ২০২৫ সালে, তিনি আবারও স্বাভাবিকভাবে গর্ভধারণ করেন এবং ৩৬ সপ্তাহ ৬ দিনে সিজারিয়ান পদ্ধতিতে এক সুস্থ পুত্রসন্তানের জন্ম দেন, যার ওজন ছিল ৩.২ কেজি। দুইবারের গর্ভাবস্থাই সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়, কোনো বড় জটিলতা ছাড়াই, এবং তাঁর কিডনির কার্যকারিতা পুরো সময় স্থিতিশীল ছিল।
ডা. রোহিত রুংটা বলেন, “কিডনি প্রতিস্থাপন হওয়া রোগীর ক্ষেত্রে গর্ভধারণ খুবই বিরল ও জটিল। কারণ এই রোগীদের সারাজীবন ইমিউনোস্যাপ্রেসিভ ওষুধ নিতে হয়। লাললিয়ানপুইয়ের ক্ষেত্রে বিশেষত্ব হলো, তিনি একবার নয়, দু’বার স্বাভাবিকভাবে গর্ভধারণ করেছেন, তাও দুটি প্রতিস্থাপনের পর। উভয় গর্ভাবস্থাতেই আমরা তাঁর কিডনি ফাংশন ও শিশুর বৃদ্ধিকে সমানভাবে নজরে রেখেছিলাম। এটি চিকিৎসা দলের পরিশ্রম, রোগীর সাহস এবং আশার এক অসাধারণ গল্প।”
ডঃ শিল্পীতা ব্যানার্জি বলেন, “একজন রেনাল ট্রান্সপ্লান্ট রোগীর পরপর দুইবার গর্ভধারণ অত্যন্ত বিরল। এই ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপ খুব সতর্কভাবে নিতে হয়—ওষুধের মাত্রা, কিডনির সুরক্ষা, শিশুর বৃদ্ধি—সব কিছু নিয়মিত পর্যবেক্ষণে ছিল। রোগীর সাহস, বিশ্বাস এবং আমাদের টিমের সমন্বয়েই এই সাফল্য সম্ভব হয়েছে।” নিজের অনুভূতি প্রকাশ করতে গিয়ে লাললিয়ানপুই বলেন, “দীর্ঘদিন কিডনি রোগে ভুগে এবং দুইবার ট্রান্সপ্লান্ট করানোর পর আমি কখনও ভাবিনি মা হতে পারব। কিন্তু ডা. রোহিত রুংটা ও ডঃ শিল্পীতা ব্যানার্জি অবিরাম যত্ন ও উৎসাহের জন্য আমি আজ দুই সন্তানের মা। তাঁরা আমাকে শুধু চিকিৎসা দেননি, নতুন করে স্বপ্ন দেখার সাহসও দিয়েছেন।” লাললিয়ানপুইয়ের এই যাত্রা আজ অসংখ্য দীর্ঘমেয়াদি রোগে আক্রান্ত নারীর কাছে এক অনুপ্রেরণা। এটি প্রমাণ করে যে চিকিৎসা দক্ষতা, অধ্যবসায় এবং বিশ্বাস থাকলে, অসম্ভবও সম্ভব হয়ে ওঠে—একবার নয়, দু’বার।
Kolkata, 4th November 2025: In a story that redefines resilience and medical triumph, 37-year-old Lallianpuii from Aizawl, Mizoram, has achieved the extraordinary. She conceived naturally twice, first in 2023 and again in 2025, after undergoing two kidney transplants. Both her high-risk pregnancies were meticulously managed and delivered under the expert care of Dr. Rohit Rungta, Senior Consultant, Nephrology, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, and Dr. Shilpita Banerjee, Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, marking an exceptionally rare and inspiring feat in medical science. Lallianpuii was first diagnosed with chronic kidney disease over a decade ago and underwent her first kidney transplant in 2012. After developing graft rejection, she required a second transplant in 2020. Despite the physical and emotional challenges of lifelong immunosuppressive therapy, she defied all odds by conceiving naturally twice.
During her first pregnancy in 2023, Lallianpuii gave birth to a healthy baby girl after a carefully monitored journey that drew admiration from her medical team. Just two years later, in 2025, she once again conceived naturally and delivered a healthy male baby weighing 3.2 kg through cesarean section at 36+6 weeks. Both pregnancies were free of major complications, with her kidney function remaining stable throughout. While discussing her case, Dr. Rohit Rungta shared, “Pregnancy in a kidney transplant recipient is rare and complex, as patients are on lifelong immunosuppressive drugs. What makes Lallianpuii’s case extraordinary is that she conceived naturally, not once, but twice, after two transplants. Dr. Shilpita Banerjee, who handled both the pregnancies, shared, “Managing consecutive pregnancies in a renal transplant recipient is rare and requires meticulous coordination. We had to balance her medications, protect the transplanted kidney, and closely monitor the baby’s growth.
